Unselfish thank you & goodbye to the King Of Pop

    July 5, 2009
I think the awards show which was morphed into a tribute to Michael Jackson was great. The performance were very good and that the younger folks unselfishly passed promoting their work to pay tribute to Michael was needed and enjoyable.

    2009 Bet Awards: Boring

    July 1, 2009
This year’s award show as a tribute to Michael Jackson was awful. Jamie Fox, God bless his soul, did not do a very good job. The energy he usually has was not there. His profanity was a problem for me and his lack of enthusiasm and observance. He was not cohesive at all. Even more, almost everyone seemed confused and lost. Michael Jackson was Brilliant, Exciting, Surprising, & Magnificent. He kept his crowd on the edge all the time. He was smart, innocent, and a barrier breaker, and Michael Jackson was much, much more than the boredom that I witnessed on BET, Sunday, June 28th, 2009. And Beyonce, what possessed what she sung? Who possessed it? She wasn't terrible, but she was not okay either. Honestly speaking, she was lukewarm, a word that often wears down when expressed to often. The O'Jays were great, even the opening for the O'Jays; Ne-yo was great and Mary-Mary was great. BET has produced so much better work. I was sitting on the side of my bed when it began and I was still there when it ended; waiting and waiting on something magnificent and surprising to happen; hoping for and extension of time for the surprises to send me screaming to the floor with awe and/or laughter. Nothing, nothing, I received nothing, that is until Alisha Keys spoke. Wisdom is on the inside of her. She possesses a book of the Bible, Proverbs. She is great and when she spoke, Michael's presence showed up. Both Alisha and Wyclef deserved the humanitarian awards. It takes love, hard work, and dedication to do what both she and Wyclef have done and continue to do. I wish everyone who participated in this show, this year, love, peace, and understanding. Something Alisha already has. But my questions are where was Usher, Justin Timberlake, Ciara, Chris Tucker, Missy Eliot, Genuine, CHRIS BROWN, etc. Janet is only excluded do to her grieving as her speech was heart felt. Where were these individuals, who would have and could have stolen the show? That show was suppose to be filled with excitement and the professional kind, full of choreography and speeches, and reflections of Michael's past life, not where are they now. That show was 10% Michael and 90% mess. I love you BET, but you are wrong and you know it. Speaking of wrong, what in the world is wrong with Joe Jackson? He has lost his mind in yesterday. More over, Deborah Lee as beautiful as she is should have a spokesperson or she should practice speaking more in public if she enjoys being seen. Her nervousness has not subsided yet. I know because I possessed this same negative. However, I hope that this error with Michael can be and will be corrected. Finally, this is only the opinion of one as judgment is not mine but my Father's in Heaven. However, the opinion of the flesh discloses boring.
Thank you and God bless you all.

    Sincerely, Truth

    July 1, 2009
The show was really hyped up as a tribute to Michael Jackson but disappointed!!! I did not like Jamie Foxx as host at all. I tuned in the entire time waiting for something great to happen and it did NOT. I did LOVE Ne-yo!! I was in shock at what I saw with Lil Wayne.....disgusting!!

    BET Awards 2009

    June 30, 2009
First of all, the tributes to MJ were wonderful. Ne-Yo is talented young man. Janet Jackson appearance was very emotional. Beyonce proved that she can really sing. However, I feel that Jamie Foxx was at times disgusting. In addition the rappers (except Jay-Z), with their distasteful lyrics and hanging pants were embarrassing. Pull up your pants men, you look STUPID!!!

    ........

    June 29, 2009
This years BET awards was okay. But what I am the most mad about is basically ALL the rappers accept Jay-Z . All the other rappers songs were VERY INNAPROPRIATE...especially for the occasion. And lil wayne and unfornutly Drake really made me sick to my stomach. Hopefully they learn a lesson.
