Another long day...

5 long days, five excellent seasons of TV Drama. Season 5 ends, from what I've been told, with Jack going to a Chinese prison. I wonder how they're gonna bring him back into this, and I wish I was home to see it.
Jack is probably the best federal agent I've seen in any TV show or movie, because you keep seeing that human side, even though he is always shown as implacable...
My only complaint is that they keep killing off the old-timers at CTU, so we keep seeing situations where Jack doesn't have anyone to decipher his old protocol use, like in season 5 where he uses 'in a flank 2 postion' as a duress code, which was only caught because of an old-timer....

God, I hate loving this show!!!

God, I hate loving this show!!! I generally do not watch TV,..It's not that I don't like TV- It's just that I am a student, generally very busy and TV is more or less a guilty indugence. The casualty of a workaholic lifestyle.
Well, that and there's alot of useless crap on TV. I don't really go for fad TV, and if something is WILDLY popular I become a bit more skeptical.
However, this show manages to make me slow down and watch. I'm hooked. Keifer Sutherland's acting is epic. The stories are riveting. The supporting cast are amazing. The topics are relevant.
This is one of the best television shows of all time. It's just that simple, and I really do not need to say anymore than that. This show is a prime example of televsion that stands out against the rest because it explored the boundaries of what was possible, and took entertainment to a new level of achievement.
As for falling in with a fad television show and going along with the masses: You won't find me watching American Idol,.. but this show is wildly popular for the best of reasons. It's just damn good!

Season 6 Premire

Still the best show on TV, but its not living up to the hype. The previous season (5) is still the best so far. The premire was too predictable and I was able to guess the ending halfway through. The nuke story this season has already been done. Season's 2 and 4 were about nuclear disasters and that made the ending nothing show changing. The new more fragile Jack though is interesting and I want to see where he will go now. Wondering what his father will be like when we see him also.

The only bad thing about 24 is that for the rest of the season, it will only be on for one hour per week! I loved being able to watch four hours of it in two sittings. Oh yes, there is going to be one other bad thing. I think its going to be opposite Battlestar Galactica.

Excellent Entertainment with an underlying Truth

I woke up this a.m. seeing the mushroom cloud and thinking about the reality of this show! Even though most Americans see this as entertainment, its content is a blatant reminder of the reality of our times and what we could be facing in the not so distant future. I think the writers are amazing and hope they continue to make this a very thought provoking show. Who said reality is but a concept?
Excellent casting, acting and intensity...I am hooked!
