Episode 4 Originally aired: October 22, 2003Spike is tormented by Pavayne, a maniacal doctor who wishes to clean up the floating souls at Wolfram & Hart. Fred tries to protect Spike by making him tangible so that the doctor won't drag him into hell, which creates a showdown between Spike and Pavayne. When Fred is caught in the middle, Spike has a choice to make about protecting her or becoming a whole being again.

A Hole in the World
Episode 15 Originally aired: February 25, 2004When Fred receives a mysterious sarcophagus in the mail, she opens it but finds that it contain a mysterious virus, one which immediately begins to infect her. Upon further investigation of this virus, Angel learns an ancient demon parasite called Illyria is the cause, and it is up to him and Spike to get the demon back to its rightful resting place before it consumes Fred and, potentially, many others.

Their boy is Angel's son, Connor, whose memories have been erased and who no longer remembers Angel. Meanwhile, Wesley learns of an agreement by Wolfram & Hart's which would undermine Angel's efforts to keep Connor safe and unaware of his past existence.
