    Not your average travel show

    September 5, 2007
The best thing about this show is its unexpected nature. Tony travels to unlikely locations such as New Jersey and Iceland, among others. His nature embraces life by living it to the full, and you can tell he's really enjoying his travels, not just making a tv show. Besides, he's funny as hell, and that makes for a different kind of travel show.

    Anthony Always Keeps It Real

    March 24, 2008
There's no one like Bourdain. His books are great as is his TV show. He tells it like it is, while still being polite. Personally though, I could do without the gross foodstuffs. If I want to be disgusted, I can catch a rerun of Fear Factor or watch that foul Zimmerman fellow. There are enough new dishes to try in these cities/countries without subjecting us to pubic area foods.

    Very Smart

    March 11, 2008
Anthony brings an "average-joe" yet very witty feel to the show that connects to most age groups. I can't think of anyone better to host this great show. From US cities to the far corners of the world, Anthony is able to reveal the real human culture and touch so many other show simply miss. Really a superb show that will captive you and have you craving for more.

    Tony Rocks

    January 30, 2008
From his gripping sarcasm to his brilliant insight... and ok, he will eat ANYTHING, this show rocks so hard. And unlike Andrew Zimmerman, Tony is quite polite and graceful on the rare occasion that he doesn't like what he's been served. This by far the best travel and best culinary show all wrapped up into one delicious journey.

    Berlin is a great city.

    January 14, 2008
Regarding the episode on Berlin, I lived there for 1.5 years and I will agree with several things he said, but I think he tilted the impression too much to the artsy side of things given the show he attended, the hotel he chose, and the artist he interviewed. If you seek those out-of-the-ordinary things in any big city you will find a certain element of it but I think this episode gave a disproportionate amount of time to them. My advise / impression of Berlin is that the food is great, the history is extremely interesting, the people are friendly, and no matter what you want to do, you can find it there. Visit Berlin in the Summer. During the winter, the days are too short.
