A durable, heavy-set character player, often cast as bumbling bad guys, Weston made his stage and TV debuts in 1950 and appeared in a number of stage comedies. His memorable film roles include "Mirage" (1965), "Wait Until Dark" (1967), as one of Audrey Hepburn's tormentors, Alan Alda's "The Four Seasons" (1981), as a neurotic dentist and "Dirty Dancing" (1987), as the resort owner.
Weston was a familiar face on TV and co-starred in several series including "Rod Brown of the Rocket Rangers" (CBS, 1953-54), "The Hathaways" (ABC, 1961-62), about a couple raising three chimps and reprising his feature role in the short-lived sitcom version of "Dirty Dancing" (CBS, 1984).
Weston was formerly married to actress Marge Redmond.
