MTV Has a Sense of Humor with 'The Hills' Spin-Off

You don't have to be an avid watcher of "The Hills" to be a fan of "The Hills." That's because the drama that happens off-camera is way juicer, massively scandalicious and gets ten times the media attention than what MTV haphazardly edits together for the actual reality show. Admit it, you were all over the news of the feud between Lauren and Audrina over the rumored fling LC had with Audrina's on-again-off-again beau Justin Bobby.

Further proof of the popularity of "The Hills" for this generation of iPod-toting, YouTube-watching, celebrity-crazed trendsetters is the sheer volume of fans and -- more often than not -- foes of the show creating spoofs and parodies that poke fun of everything about the Hills girls, from their conversations to their choice in men (which, by the way, is very bad... just look at Spencer!). During the writers' strike, legitimate actors James Franco and Mila Kunis did dead-on impersonations of Audrina and Justin Bobby in a funnyordie.com clip produced by Judd Apatow and friends. The skit was hilarious and audiences seemed eager to see more actors do 'reality'. "The Soup," "MadTV," "Best Week Ever" and even a bunch of random college kids have ripped on "The Hills" via parody videos, and now MTV is joining in on the fun.

On Oct. 18 at 2pm ET, MTV will air a new series called "The Hills: According to Me." The show features comedic actor Derek Miller reenacting various scenes from "The Hills" while dressed up like the cast members, which involves lots of blonde wigs. This sneak peek actually looks bizarrely funny even though it gets a tad bit confusing as to who Derek is imitating. I've already set my DVR to record all four back-to-back episodes because who can resist a silly man in drag? And I just can't get enough of this rockin' theme song.

Talk About It: Which is more fun to watch, the show, the spoofs or the media coverage?
