    • Newly Famous 'Duck Dynasty' Ladies Ready for a Splurge

When you suddenly find yourself the star of the most-watched reality television show on cable, what next? It's time for a big splurge, of course, which is exactly what the ladies of "Duck Dynasty" have in mind.

Of course, in true Robertson fashion, Jep's wife Jessica and Jase's wife Missy are keeping their big purchases practical.

"I'm fixin' to buy a vehicle because mine has broken down on me all year long," Jessica told Yahoo! TV at the A+E Networks upfront presentation on Wednesday. "So I'm going to just bite the bullet and get a vehicle."

2013 Ford F-150 XLT in blueHer said vehicle of choice? "A Ford F-150 XLT," she confessed. "I like the burgundy color." The sticker price for the 2013 model currently starts at $29,345 MSRP.

Missy, on the other hand, is going a little bigger. Like, a whole kitchen bigger.

"We're in the middle of remodeling and I'm getting the kitchen of my dreams," she said. "I'm getting a six-burner with a griddle range."

      Unfortunately, having

    • James Purefoy Teases 'The Following' Finale and How Joe Carroll Is Like the Starship Enterprise

James Purefoy may be known for playing intense and terrifying villains, but he's apparently also a bit of a sci-fi geek (not that there's anything wrong with that).

On "The Following," the former "Rome" star, 48, is terrifying serial killer and cult leader Joe Carroll, a character he likens to the USS Enterprise, especially since he's entering Monday night's season finale in a bit of a state.

You see, he's commandeered a small boat with only his ex-wife on board with him and they're both out for each other's blood. And, while Joe has far more experience taking someone's life than poor Claire (Natalie Zea), she's also just taken a fork to the already bleeding wound in his side.

How does all that relate to "Star Trek"? We'll let Purefoy explain.

We're a little concerned about Joe's medical condition at the moment.

Not just physical but mental. I think when that pesky wife of his decided to knife him, I think maybe that was the first hint he got that she wasn't going to get back with him.

    • Hannah Simone Spills a Few Deets on Taylor Swift and the 'New Girl' Finale

It turns out that one of TV's best BFFs is pretty darned awesome in real life too. And, like any good girlfriend, she's game for a little gab session.

We caught up with "New Girl" star Hannah Simone to hear about her partnership with Gillette's ProGlide Styler "What Women Want" campaign and managed to get her to spill a few juicy details about the hit Fox show's season finale, set to air May 14. And seeing as we won't be getting another new episode until April 30, we thought we'd fill the void this week and share them now.

When last we heard from the lovely Cece, wedding invitations had been sent out for her traditional Indian nuptials to Shivrang (Satya Bhabha) in just three weeks. Fast-forward three episodes, and -- you guessed it -- we're spending the show's second season finale at her wedding. With Taylor Swift.

      Wait -- what?!

In case you hadn't heard, the country cutie will be an important guest, named Elaine, at the wedding.

"She plays a very interesting part in what goes down,"

    • SyFy's 'Defiance' Is a Game-Changer … Literally

When "Defiance" premieres Monday on Syfy, it will mark a next-step shift in the evolution of watching television. The science fiction property exists as a television show, a video game, and, when paired together, a fully immersive, two-screen experience.

The show takes place in the near future in St. Louis, where a number of different alien species and humans have taken residence. Needless to say, they're at odds with each other and still trying to make a peaceful home in the Midwestern city. Grant Bowler ("Lost," "Ugly Betty," "Liz & Dick"), Julie Benz ("Dexter," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), and Mia Kirshner ("The L Word") star in this massive undertaking five years in the making.

But, as we learned at SyFy's upfront presentation at Chelsea Piers in New York City Wednesday night, none of them are daunted by the scale.

"You can't put anything together and create 'Defiance,'" Bowler told Yahoo! TV. "The relationships are enormous in scope. You have the Capulets and the

    • 'The Moment' Gives People a Second Chance to Realize Their Dreams

You know what they say about "if at first you don't succeed," right? Well, that whole "try, try again" thing is the basic gist of USA Network's first stab at reality television, "The Moment," which premieres Thursday night.

Few understand the gravity of a second chance quite like the show's host, NFL MVP Kurt Warner, and executive producer Charlie Ebersol.

Warner, 41, was bagging groceries and famously cut from a few NFL teams when the St. Louis Rams took a chance on him. Only 18 months later, the team had won the Super Bowl and he was an MVP. Ebersol, 30, survived a plane crash in 2004 that killed his brother and left him and his father, former chairman of NBC Sports Dick Ebersol, injured.

"God gives you talent and then life challenges you. And it's how you stand up to those challenges whether or not you get back to use those talents," Ebersol explained at a dinner for the show in New York City Tuesday night. "This show is people who legitimately have the skill and life knocks

    • Q&A: Natalie Zea Teases Future Face-Offs on 'The Following'

When we last saw Natalie Zea's Claire Matthews on "The Following" at the end of last week's episode, she was trapped in the cult home with her ex-husband, finally reunited with her son, and rockin' a seriously hot dress. Of course, only one of those things was of her choosing.

This week, we know we're going to see Claire come face-to-face with her son's kidnapper, Emma, and we're guessing that creepy serial killer of an ex-husband (James Purefoy) is going to continue to try to win her heart again. And, yeah, her lost love, Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon), is going to continue to try to find her and – we assume – hit the bottle.

We caught up with Zea to try to weasel a few more hints at what's to come this week … and leading into the finale on April 29. (Thankfully, that won't be a series finale – Fox has already picked up "The Following" for a second season). Believe it or not, she was able to answer a few of our most pressing questions.

Last week, we saw Joe try to wine and dine you

    • WWE's The Miz: From 'The Real World' to Wrestlemania … And Back Again

Sunday evening, Mike "The Miz" Mizanin will square off against Wade Barrett during Wrestlemania 29, but many of us remember him best as squaring off against roommate Coral and fantasizing about being a pro-wrestler during the 10th season of "The Real World."

In other words, sometimes pipe dreams can become a reality.

We caught up with The Miz on Thursday evening, where he was taking a break from preparing for battle to celebrate a good cause, namely WWE's Superstars for Sandy charity auction. The 32-year-old from outside Cleveland, Ohio, is the first to admit to being surprised at his own success.

"The only reason I'm a WWE Superstar is because I was on 'The Real World," he told Yahoo! TV. "It wasn't supposed to happen. Dreams are meant to be as you sleep, you dream, and then you think about it – it's not supposed to actually happen. But it's happened for me and I've been very fortunate."

    • Late Show Monologue Mayhem: Letterman and Leno Trade Barbs, More React to Fallon's Rise

After a few weeks of late night disses and rumors, the official announcement came Wednesday afternoon that Jay Leno would be retiring from his seat as the host of the "Tonight Show" in February 2014, and Jimmy Fallon would be graduating from "Late Night" to fill his shoes.

In other words, cue the monologues.

Not surprisingly, Leno and Fallon had plenty to say on the matter, as did their counterparts and competition, from Conan O'Brien to Jimmy Kimmel. And, needless to say, David Letterman brought his sharp tongue to the table, even making the Top Ten list "Things We'll Miss About Jay Leno."

"I got a call from my mom today, she said, 'Well, David, I see you didn't get the Tonight Show again.' Didn't we just go through this. Jay Leno is now being replaced, and this is the second time this has happened," the "Late Show" host said. "I mean, it's crazy. He's being replaced by a younger late-night talk show host – what could possibly go wrong?"

"I’ve known Jay Leno for 38 years, thank

    • 'Game of Thrones' Actor Gets Part of His Ear Bitten Off

In the world of "Game of Thrones," it's dangerous or just about any friend of the Starks, but, for actor Clive Mantle, it's rough even when he's not wearing a coat of arms.

The 55-year-old thespian from the hit HBO show – who plays Robb Stark's pal, Lord Greatjon Umber – was attacked in the U.K. on Sunday morning and had part of his ear bitten off, his agent told the Guardian.

Supposedly, Mantle was having a dispute about noise on the ground floor outside his Travelodge hotel room in Newcastle when the attack occurred. The actor underwent emergency surgery at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary, where doctors sewed the top part of his ear back on.

"He is very shaken and shocked by what has happened. You don't expect this kind of thing to happen in a hotel," Mantle's spokesman said. "The part of the ear that was bitten off was found and sewn back on. Mr. Mantle said the police, ambulance, and hospital staff were amazing."

There's just something about this one that makes you want to go fishing and whistle along the way. Seeing as this is exactly what happens as a whistled melody provides the backdrop to Andy and Opie Taylor strolling towards the Mayberry fishing hole, that would make sense. What also makes sense? The fact that you now can't get that whistle out of your head. Sorry, not sorry.
