    • 'All in the Family' vs. 'Saved by the Bell': Vote for the Best TV Theme Songs

The Bunkers take on the Bayside Tigers in Round 1 of Yahoo TV's Theme Song Thunderdome.

With March Madness in full swing, we decided to do a TV-themed bracket of our own: a no-holds-barred tournament to determine the best TV theme song of all time. After lots of heated debate, we've selected and ranked 32 of the most memorable TV theme songs ever, pitting them against each other in a winner-takes-all bracket. Over the next few weeks, we're asking you to vote for your favorite theme songs until we get a winner -- and a few songs stuck in your heads.

      (4) "All in the Family" ("Those Were the Days")

The "All in the Family" theme song "Those Were the Days" is sung by the show's lead actors, Carroll O'Connor (Archie Bunker) and Jean Stapleton (Edith Bunker), singing in character at the piano. The performance is off-key -- Stapleton as Edith shrieks some of her lines -- but undoubtedly endearing. "Family Guy's" opening credits mimicked this sequence in animation form with Peter and Lois Griffin also singing at the piano, lamenting the loss of traditional values.

      (2) "M*A*S*H" ("Suicide Is Painless")

The instantly recognizable melody in "M*A*S*H's" title sequence is the instrumental version of "Suicide Is Painless," a song that originally appeared in Robert Altman's 1970 film which inspired the television series. Stripped of its lyrics, which were penned by Altman's then 14-year-old son, the haunting track perfectly suited the critically-acclaimed medical dramedy's theme of facing the tragedies of war with grace and humor. Though not technically part of the music, the most memorable

    • Lisa Whelchel has a 'Survivor: Philippines' breakdown: 'Maybe I'm just not able to play this game'

Despite being a self-proclaimed "Survivor" fanatic, former "Facts of Life" star Lisa Whelchel is learning, only two episodes into this season, that watching "Survivor" is a lot different than playing "Survivor."

During last night's episode of "Survivor: Philippines," Whelchel is seen alone, crying and feeling like a complete outsider among the other castaways. "I don't feel like I'm fitting in," the recently divorced former child star laments. "I'm already on the outside and don't really have anyone that I can trust or talk to." In fact, her Tandang tribemates were already talking about eliminating her first when the time came. Luckily for Whelchel, her tribe was saved from going to Tribal Council, in part because of her outstanding performance as a caller in a three-step puzzle challenge.

With the pressures of the game and loneliness bearing down on her, how much longer can Whelchel outwit, outlast, and outplay?

The brunette pop star accepted the surfboard trophy for Choice Music Group for her band, Selena Gomez and the Scene, saying it was the best birthday present ever. Kevin Hart ("Think Like a Man"), who presented Gomez with the award alongside "The Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev, urged fans at Universal Studios Hollywood's Gibson Amphitheatre to sing to Gomez -- despite her "Oh, no!" pleas.

The former "Wizards of Waverly Place" actress was then surprised with sparkler-topped Sprinkles cupcakes as everybody in the theater (and we're sure viewers at home, too!), including Swift and "iCarly's" Miranda Cosgrove, belted out "Happy Birthday!" At one point during the serenade, Gomez buried her

The 31-year-old reality TV star will appear in a three-episode arc as a juice bar hostess with a reputation of being quite the dating guru. In the following exclusive sneak peek, we see if Nikki's advice actually worked for Stacy:

Even though things didn't pan out the way Stacy had hoped it would, this won't be the last time we'll see her with Nikki. Later, the two ladies' friendship develops quickly, and they make plans to open a "pakery" (where pies marry cakes!) business together.

CBS's lone midseason cop drama "NYC 22" premieres this month, taking "CSI: Miami's" Sunday night timeslot after "The Good Wife." Created by novelist and screenwriter Richard Price and boasting Robert DeNiro as one its executive producers, the series follows a diverse group of NYPD rookies tasked with patrolling the neighborhood of Harlem.

The opening sequence introduces the show's setting and characters using vibrant images that was inspired by the "Inside Out" project (www.insideoutproject.net) from the artist JR. "It was about bringing the identity of each of our characters into the Harlem landscape," explains Executive Producer Jane Rosenthal. "This is a different kind of cop show. Each rookie comes from a different walk of life, but they're unified by working the same beat. They're becoming acclimated to a new job, a new neighborhood, and responding to whatever happens on the street. Harlem is such a vibrant community, and is another important character in the series."
