    • 'Jersey Shore' cast raising money to rebuild Jersey shore

"Jersey Shore" would have been nothing without the actual New Jersey coastline. And now the cast of the reality TV series will be reaching out a helping hand to their old stomping ground, Seaside Heights, the New Jersey shore community where the MTV show, starring Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, JWoww, and the Situation, was set.

The Seaside Heights community weathered the antics of the hard-partying group, and now as the town's residents are recovering from Hurricane Sandy, the cast of the show will be returning the favor.

The special, "Restore the Shore," will air live from MTV's Times Square studio both on TV and online and will feature the "Jersey Shore" cast and other special guest celebrities. According to the MTV website, "The fundraiser will focus primarily on providing relief to Seaside Heights -- the town and its residents have been nothing but gracious over the years, and now it's time to return their kindness and generosity."

The cast has teamed up with the organization

    • 'Mad Men' goes to Maui

Aloha -- "Mad Men" is hitting the beach in Hawaii for its sixth season. Jon Hamm, who plays ad exec Don Draper, and Jessica Paré, who plays his wife Megan, slipped into bathing suits to film scenes of a Hawaiian vacation for the premiere.

The show is set in the 1960s, so the beach looks had a retro vibe. Hamm, 41, looked buff as he traded his three-piece suit for red paisley swim trunks. And Paré, 29, looked stunning in a brightly colored bikini. The brunette was also seen wearing bug-eyed shades and a floppy white hat. Hamm sported aviators.

While no details of the plot have been forthcoming from show creator Matthew Weiner, from the photos at least, it looks like the TV couple is still together. The two sit in the sand and enjoy the sun. Don is still smoking. And Jessica likes blue drinks. (Fans shouldn't worry that Don has lost his edge in paradise: A sharp-eyed People magazine report spotted Don reading the uber-serious tome of the nine circles of hell, Dante's "Inferno.")

    • Honey Boo Boo has a meltdown on 'Dr. Drew'

Has Honey Boo Boo had it with TV? The reality television star of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" had a meltdown moment on "Dr. Drew."

The former "Toddlers and Tiaras" star (whose real name is Alana Thompson) appeared on the show as part of a promotional tour for the new season of her show. But the seven-year-old's patience with the talk-show circuit seems to be wearing thin.

Rather than submit to questions from the grown-up, the seven-year-old pretended to be asleep, snoring loudly. Dr. Drew tried to ask Alana a question. "Is it difficult to be on TV?" In response, Honey Boo Boo dropped her head down in her arms and made loud snoring sounds.

"She's sleeping," said Dr. Drew. Trying to draw her out, he asked, "Is there something exciting you'd like to talk about?" The Georgia native responded by fidgeting, flopping her arms about.

Mama June, who has been criticized for exploiting her child, along with filling her up on junk food and "go-go juice," a combination of Mountain

    • Kim Kardashian puts herself on 'worst-dressed list'

Kim Kardashian (INFphoto.com)Kim Kardashian certainly knows how to work an outfit. But when a look flopped on her recent stay in Miami, the reality TV star was the first to say so.

Writing on her blog, Kardashian, who is in Florida to film her show "Kourtney and Kim Take Miami," wrote on her website, "Ok, ok, I am putting myself on the worst dress list for this outfit!"

She included multiple photos, 'natch, of the fashion disaster: a leather mini paired with a big and bulky neon jacket that did not flatter her curvy figure.

Kardashian explained, "I wanted a little color while I'm living in Miami, so my intentions were good, but the cut isn't for me! You definitely need to be taller and thinner to pull this jacket style off!"

The star is no stranger to public critiques, and perhaps she felt she could stem the snark by being the first to say it. But, in her own defense, she noted that she chose to take a fashion risk -- she just wished out loud that her boyfriend, Kanye West, had told her the inconvenient

    • Jon Hamm and Adam Scott's 'Greatest Event in Television History' [Video]

Remember the detective show "Simon & Simon"? Probably not. But you may recall the opening credits: a montage of silly scenes of the duo detectives in action.

Now with the help of "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm and Adam Scott from "Parks and Recreation," the cheesy opening sequence can be enjoyed again. An "Adult Swim" video meticulously -- one might even say lovingly -- redid the cheeseball '80s credits, shot for shot.

To help set the mood and build suspense for what the video dubs "The Greatest Event in Television History," there's a hilariously bizarre mockumentary introduced by Jeff Probst detailing the filming of the re-creation. Paul Rudd, who plays the director of the project, admits that he thought he was getting Aziz Ansari, not Scott. Rudd as "director" also reveals that the remake was $9 million over budget.

Hamm hams it up, saying things like this of "Simon & Simon": "It's a seminal television program, and the fact that we get to work on this homage, it's just important."

    • Paging Amanda Bynes: Jennie Garth would like a word with you

Jennie Garth played the big sister to Amanda Bynes in the WB sitcom "What I Like About You." And in real life, the single mom of three is hoping to rekindle her bond with the troubled actress.

The 40-year-old told Us Weekly, "I tried reaching out to her and I haven't been able to reach her." She added, "My heart feels for whatever she is going through and I love her dearly." Garth has been in the news herself lately, as she went through a painful and public divorce to her husband, "Twilight" star Peter Facinelli.

The 26-year-old could use some support: The star hasn't worked since her role in the movie "Easy A," after she famously quit acting at 24, Bynes then "unretired" a month later to promote the movie. But after a DUI arrest and two alleged hit-and-runs, Bynes's BMW has been impounded, and her fortunes have changed. On Monday, Bynes pleaded not guilty to two counts of driving on a suspended license. She also faces a DUI charge and two counts of hit-and-run, and is due back in

    • Jack Osbourne saves woman's life in Hawaii days after he marries

Jack Osbourne and Lisa StellyThe reality star Jack Osbourne is now a real hero. Just days after his wedding to Lisa Stelly in Hawaii, his wife tweeted that he and his friend Tyler saved a woman's life.

The son of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne revived a woman who had collapsed on the beach and had been waiting to hear of her condition, according to the blog Celebuzz.

Stelly wrote on Tuesday, "Really proud of Jack and his friend Tyler who saved a woman on the beach yesterday who'd had a heart attack and drown. They resuscitated her … Until the ambulance came. We just found out she's in a stable condition! Awesome!"

Osbourne's heroics certainly made an already-memorable trip even more so. The couple, along with their five-month-old daughter, Pearl, were in the Kona district of Hawaii, where they had wed the weekend before.

The host of "Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie" has certainly had his own brushes with bad health. In June, the 26-year-old was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and as a teenager he

    • 'Winged Planet' documentary shows bird's-eye view

Spy cameras? Check. Fights to the death? Check. Stunning scenery? You bet. But this isn't the latest James Bond movie. It's a documentary for the birds. The joint production from Discovery Channel and BBC, "Winged Planet," is a two-hour special that shows the world from a bird's-eye view as bird species migrate across continents.

The filmmaker, John Downer, devised a fleet of spy cams attached to the birds' wings for a perspective that is both jaw-dropping and vertigo-inducing.

Viewers are essentially riding with the birds as they fly through the air. As the Discovery website explains, "Spy cams allow viewers a moving three-dimensional view as they ride on the backs of spectacular eagles, cranes, pelicans, snow geese, and countless other birds while they soar above some of the most awe-inspiring parts of America, Africa, and Europe."

As these feathered friends fly, they use reference points from the landscapes below to navigate, search for food, and migrate -- all captured on

    • Arnold Schwarzenegger Talks About His Affair in '60 Minutes' Interview

Arnold Schwarzenegger is back. In a memoir coming out on Monday, "Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story," he tells about the longtime affair with a household employee that led to a secret son and to his separation from Maria Shriver.

In his first interview since the scandal went public, the former “Governator”of California discussed the scandal with Lesley Stahl on "60 Minutes," calling his affair “the stupidest thing I've done in the whole relationship.”

In a preview clip of the interview, Stahl points out what Shriver sacrificed for the star. "She gave up her television career for you. I mean, wow! Was this just the most unbelievable act of betrayal to Maria?"

Schwarzenegger replies, "I think it was the stupidest thing I've done in the whole relationship. It was terrible. I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids."

Shriver did not comment to "60 Minutes" about the interview or the book, which Schwarzenegger says she has not read.

    • No makeup, no kidding: Emmy star Kathy Griffin’s surprising transformation

Kathy Griffin at the 2012 Creative Arts Emmy Awards (WireImage)Kathy Griffin at the 2012 Creative Arts Emmy Awards (WireImage)Kathy Griffin is not exactly what you'd call a natural woman. By the comedian's own admission, she's had cosmetic surgery. And her on-camera appearances, whether working the red carpet or done up for the recent Creative Arts Emmys, are full-on glamorous.

So it was quite a contrast to see the 51-year-old going on a hike makeup free with her red hair pulled back in a messy topknot. The celebrity looked relaxed as she held hands with her boyfriend, 33-year-old Randy Bick.

Griffin wore a Jimmy Kimmel T-shirt, shorts, and sneakers, and smiled as she walked with her fit-looking beau in Hollywood's Runyon Canyon.

Relaxed, casually dressed, and no lipstick -- Kathy Griffin, who are you? Her newfound acceptance of a natural look might be coming from her new love. As she recently revealed, "He's a really nice normal guy with a nice normal job who doesn't care for the spotlight, and I like it that way and he does too."
