"Ultimate Survival Alaska" isn't about outwitting, outplaying, or outlasting other competitors. Here, nature is the biggest threat.

The show, which premieres Sunday on the National Geographic Channel, follows eight men in an expedition through the Alaskan wilderness. Carrying very few provisions, they traverse glaciers, climb mountain peaks, forge freezing rivers, and endure brutal weather conditions on a dangerous trek across the state.

There's no $1 million prize here; the only prize is survival.

The cast is made up of the toughest of tough Alaskans, including the youngest Iditarod champion ever, 26-year-old Dallas Seavey.

"When an opportunity comes to see these parts of Alaska, these beautiful parts of Alaska, these extreme parts of Alaska, any true Alaskan with that adventuresome spirit will say yes," Dallas told Yahoo! TV.

      Watch an extended preview:

Each cast member was individually recruited by NatGeo, though Dallas's brother, Tyrell, had just an hour to pack his bag due to a

    • Will Cochran Win 'Survivor: Caramoan'?

The self-proclaimed "Survivor" nerd is poised to pull off an improbable victory.

      Outwit, outplay, outlast ... out-nerd?

When John Cochran first showed up on "Survivor: South Pacific," he was a pale, unathletic megafan who didn't want to take his shirt off (for fear of looking like a "pathetic twerp" in front of the ladies).

Now, in his second season, Cochran is one of the five remaining players -- and a heavy favorite to win the $1 million and title of sole survivor. In fact, he's the only person left whose name has yet to be written down. As Stephen Fishbach, runner-up on "Survivor: Tocantins," wrote on People.com, Cochran has executed "a smart game with good decisions. In some ways, his game most resembles that of Sophie, who won his original season of South Pacific -- just with funnier confessionals. Can Cochran win, too?"

      Fans certainly think so:

    • Kristen Wiig's Best 'Saturday Night Live' Characters and Sketches [Video]

The "Bridesmaids' star returns to host "SNL" for the first time since leaving the cast.

We're not "sorry" to see Kristen Wiig back on the "Saturday Night Live" stage!

The "Bridesmaids" star is returning this week to her old stomping grounds after she left the cast last season to pursue her hot movie career. And fans are abuzz with speculation about which of her many memorable recurring characters will pop up during the evening.

One that would make an equal number of people squeal and groan is the frizzy-haired Gilly, the trouble-making schoolgirl who shrugged her mischief away with a sly little "Sorry!" and strange smile. The idea for Gilly sprang from that creepy, goofy pulled-back smile.

Though Wiig retired her (and Penelope) while she was still on "SNL," she just may revive what Entertainment Weekly called "one of the more unpopular characters on the show in a while." Even Wiig's own mother hated Gilly!

"The first time that I did [Gilly], my mom, the next day, was like, 'Oh, I did not like

In last season’s finale, magic returned to Storybrooke.

This year, Storybrooke may be completely destroyed.

Sunday’s heart-stopping finale of "Once Upon a Time" has Greg and Tamara pulling the trigger to wipe out the town and all its fairy-tale denizens. Helping them is none other than the dastardly Captain Hook, whose sole focus is the death of Rumplestiltskin.

[Related: 'Once' Star Teases Wormhole Destination]

Fans will also learn more about Hook’s relationship with Rumple’s son, Bae, who he fished out of the ocean in Neverland last week. We chatted with star Colin O’Donoghue about Hook’s intentions, how far he’ll go for vengeance, and whether we’ll see Neverland again next season.

Last week, Hook brought Bae onto his ship. What can we expect from them this week?

This week, obviously you're going to see Hook's interaction with Bae in Neverland. Hook is intrigued by this boy that he's pulled up out of the sea; he obviously doesn't know who it is when he pulls [the boy] out. It'll be

Fitz decides to come clean about the affair, while the gladiators chase Albatross.

Jaws. On. The. Floor. As one fan so aptly put it:

Forget twists and turns; "Scandal" has redefined the term "roller coaster ride." We swear we can hear Shonda Rhimes cackling away from across the country.

But let's relive it all in real-time. To the tape! And the tweets!

      Damage control

After Mellie's tell-all interview, a fire-breathing Cyrus shows up at Olivia's apartment. The Secret Service won't let him through, but when Cyrus wants something, he usually gets it. And so he barges in on Fitz and Olivia in bed, and orders the president to get out.

Meanwhile, at the gladiators' office, David Rosen is cackling about the poor "other woman." "I just hope she has Olivia Pope on her team," he says. Oh, the irony.

    • 'The Vampire Diaries' Recap: Spirit Rally

Bonnie lowers the veil while Elena hunts Katherine.

Something wicked this way comes. Or should we say many somethings.

Bonnie taps into the expression triangle to lower the veil, which brings back everyone from Alaric (yay!) to Kol (no!) to Jeremy (eh). But when Silas proves just how powerful he is, Bonnie needs a little help from a familiar face, Grams (double yay!), to fight back.

But to quote a different show, magic always has a price. And Bonnie must pay the ultimate one.

There's not a whole lot going on relationship-wise; we'll update what's happening with the various couples later. But first, let's dive into the recap.

      Kill Katherine

Elena is crushing concrete blocks at Stefan's suggestion to work out her aggression. It's not working -- she still wants to take out Katherine. That's all she cares about. Not graduation or her friends (Caroline is wounded).

Elsewhere, Bonnie is dragging Katherine around to the three points of the expression triangle (where the massacres took place). She's linked the two of them together, so that Silas

    • How Will Jodi Arias's Conviction Affect Lifetime's TV Movie?

"Dirty Little Secret" will chronicle the sensational trial.

In the case of Lifetime's TV movie about the Jodi Arias trial, the headlines are still in the process of being ripped.

On Wednesday, an Arizona jury found the 32-year-old guilty of murdering her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander.

Arias's trial featured plenty of violence and sex, including a lurid phone sex call, nude photos, titillating sexual details. It all adds up to a juicy recipe for a Lifetime movie. The cable network is prepping one starring Tania Raymonde ("Lost") as Arias and Jesse Lee Soffer ("The Mob Doctor") as Alexander. Lifetime will update the end of "Dirty Little Secret" to reflect the conviction.

"We had intentionally left the court scenes for the end of the shoot, so the film could be as up-to-date as possible," said Arturo Interian, Vice President, Original Movies for Lifetime.

Erik's hallucinating, Dawn's crying (again), and a betrayal shocks one player to the core.

Nobody's here to make friends. They're here to win $1 million.

Of course, "Survivor" players do make friends. They bond. They grow close. They scheme together. They starve together. They comfort each other through brutal conditions.

But in the end, there's only one sole survivor, and that means people will get backstabbed, betrayed, and hurt. This time, it's Brenda, at the hands of the "nicest" person out there -- Dawn. And even worse, it happens after she willingly gives up time with her loved one.

      That's just cold, you guys.

      Gone coconuts

Camp is lethargic. This far into the game, the shelter's been built and the fire's going, and everybody has their chores and routines. As a fed-up Erik says, "There's nothing to be talked about, nothing to be said, nothing to be done. I'm miserable here. This is the most beautiful prison I've ever been in." (Erik has others to compare it to?!)

The guy is seriously cracking up, though. His hunger is driving him up a tree, literally -- he starts climbing

Read John Krasinski's lips: He's in it to win it.

The "Office" star stopped by "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" Tuesday night to promote the comedy's May 16 series finale and engaged the host in a hilarious, last-man-singing lip-sync battle.

Fallon kicked it off with a heartfelt rendition of Melissa Manchester's "Don't Cry Out Loud. "That was really beautiful," Krasinski said, pretending to be choked up. Then he threw down the gauntlet with Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream," shimmying and unbuttoning his jacket.

"Fake breathing at the end and everything," a respectful Fallon noted.

They continued to duel, with Fallon lip-syncing Das EFX's "They Want EFX" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," and Krasinski doing Run DMC's "Peter Piper." But he really brought the house down with a throbbing version of Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love to You."To the Roots's and audience's delight, Krasinski went there -- grabbing his fake earpiece, tearing off

    • Miss America to Be Crowned... Without the Miss America Song!

The familiar crowning anthem will be cut due to a dispute.

"There she is, Miss America"... except this year's winner won't be hearing those words.

Due to a licensing dispute, Miss America 2013 will be crowned in September without the iconic "Miss America" song.

Miss America Organization vice president Sharon Pearce confirmed to the Press of Atlantic City that the familiar tune, played almost every year since 1955, will no longer be used at the pageant.

The dispute stems from a lawsuit filed by the late songwriter Bernie Wayne's wife, who claimed the song was used without a proper license in 2011 and 2012.

[Photos: See Who Competed in the Last Miss America Pageant]

For a few years in the 1980s, the "Miss America" song was silent during another contract dispute, and last year, the pageant played instrumental music instead for Laura Kaeppeler's crowning. This year, organizers could also choose to use another tune like "Look at Her" and "Miss America the Beautiful."

Wayne first wrote the song while sitting in a barber's chair in 1955. In that year's
