    • Fans of FX's newest must-see drama, "The Americans," prepare for a twist in tonight's new episode, "Gregory." No spoilers, but suffice it to say that we learn something very surprising about how one-half of undercover KGB spy couple Elizabeth and Phillip Jennings has coped with the complicated double life the couple has been leading while posing as American suburbanites.

      Watch a preview of "Gregory":

And for viewers who haven't yet jumped into the emotional, action-packed drama, a two-episode marathon is all you need to catch up and delve into tonight's third installment, which is the best example yet of the show's ability to blend tense, spy-thriller plots with the evolving relationship of Elizabeth (Keri Russell) and Phillip (Matthew Rhys), whose KGB-arranged marriage (with kids) has, after 15 years, started to become a real romance.

That "real" concept is one that pervades every aspect of the show, from the couple's relationship and the historical figures and events that

    • TV on DVD: 'Southland' star Regina King talks about the new season and the new DVD collection

In the penultimate episode of the fourth season of "Southland," a pregnant Detective Lydia Adams tangles with a suspect who stabs her repeatedly in her protective vest after tossing her around a shack. It's a harrowing scene, as Lydia fights with every bit of her being to prevent the thug from driving a giant screwdriver into her head, and it's typical of the show's gritty nature.

The brutal scene is also a typical day at work for Lydia's portrayer, the Emmy-worthy Regina King.

"It's very physical. I have scars up my legs to prove it," King laughs. "But I've always been an athlete … always been very physical, so that part of it is just kind of fun."

Last week, Ann pulled the trigger on her revenge against kidnapping ex-hubby Harris Ryland, and that's where "False Confessions" opens. Harris's uber-creepy mama comes home to find her baby boy splayed out in the living room, bleeding profusely from a bullet wound to the chest. Ann is returning to Southfork at the same time, where Bobby finds her in the bathroom, washing her hands, with a gun on the sink beside her. Yep, I shot him, she tells Bobby, as the Dallas police are knocking at the front door.

Bobby to the police: "I shot Harris Ryland," taking the blame for Ann, because, as he tells her in a great example of the kind of rationale that only happens in primetime soaps, her daughter Emma will definitely never forgive her if she finds out Ann is really the one who shot her father. But she'll be totally fine with Ann's husband having shot him? Yeah, soap logic.

    • 'The Biggest Loser' recap: Singles for Valentine's Day

So far on this 14th season of "The Biggest Loser," the contestants have worked in teams, so the competition has been very civil. But on Monday night's "Tough Love" installment, the teams were disbanded and the contestants are now teams of one … and that means, the competition has truly begun.

Once host Alison Sweeny gave each contestant a different colored shirt to mark the new status, they were all led into the first challenge, which was Valentine's Day-themed. And that meant all manner of frosted sweet treats, in every color of red, pink, white, and chocolate they could imagine. Each of them was placed in front of a table with the sugar-laden goodies, which were labeled with calorie counts, and told they could win a two-pound advantage … by consuming more calories than any other contestant.

That's right, the show was challenging them to binge eat, with a two-pound weigh-in advantage on the line. Five of the contestants -- Mike, Danni, Jackson, Gina, and Joe -- chose not to indulge,

    • 'The Walking Dead' recap: Making the living less like the living

SPOILER ALERT: The recap for "The Suicide King" episode of "The Walking Dead" contains storyline and character spoilers.

This zombie apocalypse world is "making the living less like the living," new prison refugee Tyreese tells Hershel, and that, as the first new "Walking Dead" episode since December 2 previews, is going to be the theme of the rest of the third season.

Chief among those living who are becoming less like the living: Rick and Glenn, who are so angry and just plain freaked out by recent events that they're threatening to no longer be the guys we first got to know in Season 1.

Rick is still haunted by Lori's death and the birth of Lil' Asskicker, of course, not to mention the continuing planet of responsibility he feels to keep his group alive. For Glenn, that hand-to-hand combat with the zombie Merle sicced on him in Woodbury unleashed his fierceness, but the Governor's attack of Maggie, Glenn's beloved, has left Glenn feeling helpless and angry, and the zombie head he

    • 'The Americans' recap: Doomsday clock?

Last week's series premiere of "The Americans" involved a lot of setup. So. Much. Setup. But it was worth it, because Episode 2 jumped right into the action, which began with Phillip jumping right into bed with a woman who is not Elizabeth.

Hey, that's the name of the spy game, people. Last week, it was Elizabeth who had to get busy with a dude who was not her husband so she could obtain some key intel, and Phillip listened to an audio recording of her extracurricular activities (and, yes, he was jealous).

This week, it was Phillip who had to make time with a woman who was warm for his form -- the wife of the deputy undersecretary of defense, it turned out, who thinks she's working with a Swedish operative named Scott. Phillip straps a contraption to the asset that allows her to hold a tiny camera in her bra, which, when she sneaks away at a party of the home of Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger, allows her to snap some photos of his private study.

      And that's important because

    • Yahoo! TV exclusive: 'China Beach' star Dana Delany talks DVD release, cast reunion, and her Purple Heart

It's been a long wait for fans of the Emmy-winning 1988-91 ABC drama "China Beach," the series that unfolded the story of the Vietnam War from the point of view of the female military personnel and civilians who worked at an evacuation hospital in Da Nang.

The show has spent years in DVD limbo, even while less critically acclaimed and beloved series got the complete-series boxed-set treatment. The "China Beach" glitch: music rights. One of the show's trademarks was its perfect pitch on music selections, meaning hundreds of songs had to be cleared before the episodes could be released intact.

Now, thanks to a yearlong effort by Time Life to get the rights to more than 200 songs, "China Beach: The Complete Series" is available for preorder at ChinaBeachonDVD.com. The 21-disc collectors' set, which is scheduled to ship the second week of April, includes all 62 episodes plus more than 10 hours of new bonus features: a 2012 cast

    • Yahoo! TV exclusive: 'The Walking Dead' return pits Daryl against Merle [Photos]

Remember where we left off with the "Walking Dead" gang in December, when the Governor and his people had captured our beloved Daryl Dixon and were about to pit him against his brother, the far less lovable Merle?

That's where we pick up when the AMC drama returns Feb. 10 with "The Suicide King," in which the even crazier (trust us) Governor (David Morrissey) makes it clear that Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Merle (Michael Rooker) have no choice but to tangle with each other -- and with those zombies on a leash he keeps for just such an occasion.

As you can see in these exclusive photos that AMC provided to Yahoo! TV, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) come to the rescue, and Daryl manages to get a weapon back in his hand while Merle surveys the damage with his sword arm.
