    • 'Bachelor Pad' week 7 recap: Four couples left, but only two hang tough

It was down to the final four couples on "Bachelor Pad," and after a stressful elimination that last week broke up this season's only remaining alliance, it was anybody's game.

Chris and Sarah, Blakeley and Tony, and Ed and Jaclyn all had strong partnerships due to love connections and chemistry (some more convincing than others), but Nick and Rachel were at a disadvantage, having been thrown together by default after Michael, Rachel's partner and lover, was eliminated two weeks ago. Will "widowed" Rachel be able to stop pining for Michael long enough to take out the competition with Nick? Now that Kalon is gone, will Chris fill his shoes as the show's No. 1 villain?

      "Hanging by a Thread"

Chris Harrison delivered one of his delicious twists right before this week's challenge: The winning couple would not receive immunity but would be given the power to vote off another couple of their choice from the pool of challenge losers. The chosen couple would return home immediately --

    • 'Bachelor Pad' Week 5 Recap: A Last-Minute Twist Leads to a Shocking Upset

The fallout from last week's dramatic rose ceremony had the whole house on edge -- but especially Chris, who was furious at how many people had lied to him about how they were going to vote. Chris's plan to vote off Blakeley and keep Jamie around backfired, putting a big fat target on his back.

      "The Great Fall of China"

Chris directed his rage at both Kalon and Ed, who he thought had betrayed him the worst. There was some yelling and chest thumping, and everyone left feeling pretty certain that Chris would be kicked off this week

That looked even more likely the next day, when Chris's now-archenemy Blakely won the challenge for the girls, gaining immunity. Not that anybody was too surprised -- the challenge was stacking and carrying cups and saucers without breaking them, and Blakeley had an obvious advantage. "So glad I worked at Hooters for 13 years," said Blakely, the only person who has ever uttered that sentence. Her victory was even sweeter because it put

    • Sex, lies, and videotape: The backstabbing starts in earnest on Week 3 of 'Bachelor Pad'

Old feuds flared up on Week 3 of "Bachelor Pad," and even ice cream -- a lot of ice cream -- couldn't soothe all the hurt feelings in the house. Reid spent his time seeking vengeance on Ed, while a few lucky contestants got to go on two of the most unusual dates yet.

Chris Harrison says the words 'nut sack'

The contestants were ecstatic to learn that the week's challenge was somewhere other than their Padded Prison, and most were equally pleased to learn the theme of the challenge: human hot fudge sundaes. Part obstacle course, part relay race, part delicious dessert, the challenge determined which couple would win immunity, and which would return home to lick their wounds/hot fudge topping.

But here was the twist: Instead of competing against their usual partners, everyone was shuffled to the person next to them! Catastrophe! Avowed enemies Kalon and Erica Rose were paired, setting up Kalon for one of his nefarious quips -- about how Erica Rose should be great at

    • Those of you who had always wanted to see Michael Stagliano in a skintight leotard were in luck: That image and so many more (Erica Rose somersaulting in a sundress, anyone?) were burned into our retinas during the second week of "Bachelor Pad." Tempers were flaring, sparks were flying, and people were finally getting naked -- which means that this season is already starting to live up to its reputation.

Erica Rose kicked off the episode by swearing to make Dave's life a living hell for daring to conspire against her during the last rose ceremony. The twins, whose matching outfits had made them seem so blissfully in sync, contributed to the building tension by fighting with each other constantly. "It's like watching 'Jerry Springer,'" Blakeley observed, which was pretty telling coming from Blakeley.

People watched this instead of the actual Olympics

This week's challenge honored the Summer Olympics -- although it's debatable whether "honor" had anything to do with it. "Rhythmic

    • Creepy introduction: superfans mix up the season 3 opener of "Bachelor Pad"

Welcome to Season 3 of "Bachelor Pad" -- where spurned men and women from past seasons of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" go to extend their 15 minutes of fame into a summer of sex and scandal. These are some of the most "memorable and controversial" (that is, awful) people to ever grace the steps of the show's heavily trafficked mansion. The contestants will compete for a quarter of a million dollars -- and for one another's affection/bodies.

This season has a twist: Six "superfans" will join the cast as contestants with an equal chance of winning the money and breaking a few hearts.

      Meet the Cast

Some of the more infamous contestants were showcased in a special intro segment, and Chris from Emily's season was first up. Chris -- though probably too nice to be on this show -- has revealed a nasty streak, and he'll undoubtedly use it to his advantage at the Pad. He expressed an interest in Lindzi, who had been dumped by Ben in favor of the despised Courtney.

    • Decisions, decisions: Emily chooses between Arie and Jef in 'The Bachelorette' finale.

In a “Bachelorette” finale that had almost the same running time as "The Dark Knight Rises,” Emily Maynard finally got down to picking her husband/baby daddy. She chose between Arie -- a dark, handsome racecar driver from Scottsdale, Ariz., who excelled at revving her engine -- and Jef, the edgy but essentially wholesome Salt Lake City native who just “gets her.”

Chemistry, as it always should, proved to be the ultimate deciding factor, and Emily ended up with few doubts that Jef was the man of her dreams -- even sending Arie home early. Chris Harrison and his live studio audience were along for the ride.

      Meeting the Parents

In their first appearance this season, Emily’s parents arrived in Curacao to suss out her two men and try to help her come to a decision. Both suitors were eager to win her family’s approval, but Jef did a bit better than Arie, who met with a considerable amount of skepticism. Emily’s brother accused Arie of being a “smooth talker,” but softened when Arie Read More »from Decisions, decisions: Emily chooses between Arie and Jef in 'The Bachelorette' finale.
    • Anticipation is building for the dramatic season finale of "The Bachelorette," and Emily's snubbed men came together this week to take one last gander at Emily -- and to prolong their "fame" for another three or four minutes. The lovelorn contestants didn't disappoint; they bickered, postured, and even gave us a few more reasons to hate Kalon.

In a pretaped reel, Emily set up the season's two villains for us: Ryan, who made a good first impression but put his giant, masochistic foot in his mouth a few too many times; and Kalon, who landed at the first cocktail party in a helicopter and incurred Emily's wrath by referring to her daughter Ricki as "baggage."

She also touched on a few other standout contestants: Doug, who waited to kiss her until the moment she was breaking up with him (awkward); and Travis, "the Egg Guy," who made her sing lullabies to the ostrich egg he had brought along, which represented their child together (and, lest you forget, was named Shelly).

    • Kiss kiss, and that's it: Emily keeps it PG on 'The Bachelorette' fantasy suite week

Emily Maynard and her final three men steamed up the beautiful island of Curaçao this week on "The Bachelorette," but they kept the action on-camera. That meant no fantasy suite overnights for anyone this season, not even "Sweet Arie," who has been stoking Emily's fire for weeks. Nevertheless, the seaside setting provided plenty of opportunities for smooching, cuddling, and showing off of bathing-suit bodies -- but the fun came to an end when Emily had to send one love-struck suitor packing.

Date No. 1: Butterflies and brawn

Phew -- too many episodes have aired without one of the show's signature helicopter rides, so it was a relief to see Sean and Emily hop into a chopper for the first date of the week. Emily said Sean would be "the best dad ever," and that his combination of rippling muscles and endearing vulnerability gives her "butterflies in [her] heart."

Even so, Sean was treading on thin ice -- Emily was majorly miffed that he remained the only suitor who hadn't Read More »from Kiss kiss, and that's it: Emily keeps it PG on 'The Bachelorette' fantasy suite week
    • Hometown Dates and Heartbreak: Emily Meets the (Skeptical) Families on This Week's 'Bachelorette'

Tears fell, cultures clashed, and babies cried this week on "The Bachelorette" as Emily met her four remaining suitors' families for the first time. Despite their best efforts, one family would soon be welcoming their heartbroken son back into the fold.

Date No. 1 -- Skeptical in Chicago

Chris interrupted the rose ceremony last week with a last-minute declaration that he was falling in love with Emily -- a desperate move that seemed to both impress and frighten her a little. His relationship with Emily has been lagging behind, but his impromptu plea for her heart won him another week on the show and a coveted hometown date in his native Chicago.

Chris seemed to relish the chance to show off his city to Emily, and to be away from the incessant touring of castles and dungeons that had characterized their European dates. They sat down for a beer at a Polish restaurant like the ones Chris had frequented in his childhood, and Chris announced, "On a scale of one to Polish,

    • 'Dancing With the Stars' Week 10 -- Top Five Dances

The contestants were all wide grins and good vibes during the first night of the two-part finale event of "Dancing With the Stars," despite the evening's high stakes and stiff competition. Their great attitudes have been a big part of what has made this season so watchable -- that, and a totally unprecedented amount of pure talent. The show's fans have their work cut out for them when it comes to choosing among the final three, but last week's surprise elimination of Maria Menounos, who was at the top of the leader board, underscored the importance of picking, and voting for, a champion.

The night saw each couple perform two dances -- one handpicked for them by the judges and then coached by a judge -- and one freestyle dance that was allowed to break all the rules. Our stars were in top form as they scooped up the highest scores of the season (even from the notoriously tightfisted judge Len Goodman). Here are the night's top five dances:
