    • 'American Idol' Superfan Anthony Hopkins Makes a Dapper Appearance at the Finale

Anthony Hopkins with his wife and niece (Frazer Harrison/Getty Images)Anthony Hopkins is an "American Idol" superfan!

Thursday's finale of the Fox reality series was chock-full of show alums from one-time contestant Jennifer Hudson to former judge Jennifer Lopez. There were also music icons (Aretha Franklin, Frankie Valli) and viral video sensations (Psy). But a more surprising VIP in the crowd was the 75-year-old iconic Welsh actor.

That's right, the man who scared the wits out of us as Hannibal Lecter is a tried and true "Idol" fan — and, dressed to the nines, orchestrated a fun family outing to Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles to watch Candice Glover best Kree Harrison.

The star of "Red 2" and "Thor: The Dark World," who attended the show with his wife Stella Arroyave and a niece, was certainly one of the style standouts on the red carpet. Dressed in a grey striped suit and white button-down shirt, he could have been going to any red carpet event. But he punched it up with some very sharp

    • 'The Talk' Hits NYC: Grilling the Hosts on Random Body Part Sightings, Street Meat, and Amanda Bynes

The ladies of "The Talk": Sheryl Underwood, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler, and Julie Chen (CBS)New York City is a whole lot livelier this week with "The Talk" co-hosts in town for a week's worth of on-location shows ― and Yahoo! TV was invited to the set to witness it all first-hand.

The Los Angeles-based show is shooting in Manhattan's CBS Broadcast Center on the set previously used by "Anderson Live, " and the future home of Bethenny Frankel’s upcoming "Bethenny." It seems the co-hosts ― Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Sara Gilbert, Aisha Tyler, and Sheryl Underwood – also upped their already high level of energy for the road trip, slinging jokes, finishing each other's sentences, and chatting a mile a minute both on-screen and off when we sit down with them after the show.

Self-portrait time! Sheryl and the ladies snapped fun photos for us.

Seeing that they are in the Big Apple, we decided we'd keep the conversation local ― though it did manage to veer off to topics ranging from Underwood's ongoing quest to meet a man to the movie star whose nose reminds Osbourne of a, um, male body part…

You seemed to have brought some extra New York City

    • Aziz Ansari at his private show kicking off Advil's Relief in Action Campaign, which recognized Superstorm Sandy volunteers. (Getty Images)A problem, if you can even call it that, with interviewing comedians is that you don't always know when they're kidding. We had a few moments like that recently with "Parks and Recreation" star Aziz Ansari.

We met the 30-year-old at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where he was doing a private show for 100 Superstorm Sandy volunteers as part of Advil's Relief in Action Campaign. Before he took the stage, we were guided into a luxurious suite, aptly dubbed The Vault, to go one-on-one with him -- and apparently he tested out some of his material on us.

While hitting him up for tidbits about the May 2 season finale of his NBC comedy, he joked it was going to be out of this world.

"We go to space! The whole cast gets in a shuttle and goes to space," he said with great excitement. "It's all really out there."

Confronted with a puzzled look, he came clean.

"No, we actually filmed it so long ago I don't remember what happens to be honest," he laughed. "But every finale ends with cool cliffhangers

    • Is Rachel Zoe's Show Getting Canceled?

Have fashionistas seen the last of "The Rachel Zoe Project"?

For four years, Bravo has gone behind the seams with the celebrity stylist -- and now fashion designer -- following her day-to-day drama outfitting A-listers. But now there are rumblings that Bravo may pull the plug on the show due to low ratings.

According to BravoRatings.com, last week's show "managed to only attract 518,000" viewers, making it the "lowest ratings ever."

Despite the dip, Bravo says they have no plans at this point to pluck the show from its lineup.

"'The Rachel Zoe Project' and 'It’s a Brad, Brad World' are both currently on the air during our Fashion Night," a Bravo spokesperson told Yahoo! TV. "There has been no decision on either show for next season."

Memorable Zoeisms from the latest episode:

And a Zoe insider sniffs at talk of cancellation, noting that the show has been better than ever.

If "TRZP" were to end, it wouldn't exactly be devastating for Zoe's brand. Since the show launched

In the wake of cast member Shain Gandee's (l.) tragic death, MTV has canceled the reality show. (MTV)America's glimpse into the lives of nine Wild, Wonderful West Virginians is coming to an end.

A week after the death of "Buckwild" cast member Shain Gandee, MTV has pulled the plug on the reality series.

"After careful consideration, MTV will not be moving forward with season two of 'Buckwild' in West Virginia," the network said in a statement Wednesday. "We love the cast and the show and this was not an easy decision, but given Shain's tragic passing and essential presence on the show, we felt it was not appropriate to continue without him."

However, a previously taped special will air this weekend.

"On Sunday, we will be running a special 'Buckwild: WV to the NYC,' which was shot before production had begun on season two," the statement continues. "With the support of his parents, Dale and Loretta Gandee, we will run the tribute following a day of programming dedicated to Shain in which we will air the entire first season of 'Buckwild.'"

    • Kat Dennings (Getty Images)One would expect Kat Dennings to be among the first to be told that CBS' "2 Broke Girls" had been renewed for a third season. Not exactly.

When Yahoo! TV caught up with the 26-year-old to talk about her funny new ad campaign for Lipton, it was just hours after the pick up news broke. So how was she feeling? "Thrilled," she replied, before quickly adding, "But no one told me! I found out online. I was like, 'What? Well, I guess we're picked up. Thanks for telling me … no one!'"

It's that sarcastic sense of humor that has endeared her to fans who can't get enough of the sassy waitress with the signature red pout that she portrays on the series opposite Beth Behrs' Caroline.

So what can we expect in Season 3? Perhaps some singing. Recently, Behrs said she'd love to do a musical episode, but didn't think she'd be able to get Dennings onboard.

"That's what she wants to happen," Dennings laughed. "I doubt she'll be able to

Valerie Harper (Getty Images) Valerie Harper says she is facing her terminal brain cancer diagnosis head on.

A week after announcing she has leptomeningeal carcinomatosis – a rare condition that occurs when cancer cells spread into the membrane around the brain – the 73-year-old actress best known for her roles on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and her spin-off "Rhoda" spoke to the "Today" show's Savannah Guthrie about living with an incurable cancer diagnosis – and holding out for a miracle.

"Incurable was a tough word,” admitted Harper, who had on a rainbow-colored shirt, which says so much about her still-sunny and upbeat personality. "So was terminal. But [my doctor] then said, 'It could be a week – you could have a seizure. It could be three months. It could be several years. I have people with this disease who have lived much longer than the prognosis.'"

"So it's very rare," she continued. "It's serious. It's incurable – so far. I'm holding on to the 'so far.'"

Although she is keeping herself “open to

Robin Roberts is back in her anchor chair.

Five months after receiving a bone marrow transplant to treat her rare blood disorder, the “Good Morning America” co-anchor returned to work on Wednesday.

“I have been waiting 174 days to say this: ‘Good Morning America,’” a beaming Roberts, 52, said to viewers at the top of the show.

She couldn’t contain her excitement – and neither could her co-host George Stephanopoulos and the rest of their team. “I keep pinching myself and I realize this is real. This is actually happening, and I don't have my froggy slippers on, or do I?" Roberts laughed. "Faith, family and friends have brought me to this moment and I am so full of gratitude.”

Roberts’ big return was the main focus of the news show – which was dubbed “a very special edition of ‘Good Morning America’” – and they pulled out all the stops for her. The fanfare included taped messages from President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
