That was Ellen's first reaction on Tuesday, after pulling a prank on her protégé, Bethenny Frankel.
Bethenny thought she was shooting promos against a white screen for her new Fall daytime talk show, which Ellen is about to help her launch. And Ellen proceeded to sneak up behind her, and scare the skinny right out of this girl, literally launching her across the stage in the process. A process that apparently that includes hazing her BFF, BF!
Welcome to daytime, Bethenny! Rule #1: Watch your back. Rule #2: Always ask the wardrobe department to keep an extra pair of stripey shorts around, just in case moments like this pop up!

Read More »from Ellen Scares Bethenny FrankelOw, my shin! Wednesday's "CBS This Morning" imported some footage from the UK that was painful to watch: A very unique "competition" billed as the "World Shin-Kicking Championships".
In each bout, two brave men (and let's face it, they're all men) lock arms and square off face to face, and yep, you guessed it, they start kicking each other furiously in the shins. Or at least they try to. The result looks more like an awkward folk dance. But, y'know, with way more kicking.
According to the event page from the Cotswold Olympics, shin-kicking, or "hacking", dates all the way back to 1636. Or in other words, before decent TV. Contestants are allowed to wear minimal padding, stuffing their pants with straw. but bruises and broken shins are common. (Gee, I wonder why?)

Tuesday's “CBS This Morning” tried to have some fun with a news story about Germany retiring their language's longest official word, which is a ridiculous 63 letters long! 
Say that five time fast!
For those of you keeping score at home, that's "Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz".
What's it mean? Well, it was created in 1999 to explain a Beef Monitoring Assessment law related to Mad Cow Disease regulations. Duh!
A new law has officially removed the word from the German language, but none of the “CBS This Morning” anchors want to have anything to do with trying to pronounce it... instead they played a clip of a German woman pronouncing it expertly over and over again.
