To all the talk-show hosts out there with ladies in the audience to impress: It's easy to do -- just follow these steps!
1. Cut a hole in a box.
2. Put Justin Timberlake in that box.
3. Make an audience member play "Let's Make a Deal" and choose to either win $100 or open that box, all the while dropping huge hints about how what's inside may "make everyone in the audience happy" and that it's something that "looks good in a suit and tie."
And that's the way you do it!
OK, forgive us for borrowing the lyrics from a certain infamous "SNL" duet with Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake. But that's pretty much the recipe Ellen followed to whip her audience into a frenzy on Thursday. And the lucky audience member who picked Box No. 2 over a Ben Franklin got rewarded twice for making the tough choice: Ellen let her keep the cash for being so "selfless"!
The rest of the audience got to scream their heads off like eighth-graders while JT ran up and down the aisles, dancing and handing out high-fives. But the charm machine wasn't out of gas after that display; he was just getting warmed up. Once he settled down on the couch, Timberlake made pretty much everyone in the room swoon as he gushed about his married life with Jessica Biel, beaming as he called marrying her "the best decision he's ever made." See him talk about it here.
"Once in a while, I catch a glimpse of her when she doesn't see me looking, and I have this moment where I think to myself, 'If you never make another good decision ... if you only make bad decisions for the rest of your life, you made one really good decision." Seriously. Sweetest. Thing. Ever.
After several audible "Awwws" from those who hadn't passed out yet, Timberlake finished the job of melting every last heart in the room by saying, "It's nice to marry your best friend. It suits me."
Ellen then tried to get herself back in good graces with the TimberBiels, or at least half of them, when she presented him with a very special wedding gift: a huge, gold-framed portrait of him gazing into the eyes of the other love of his life -- Ellen! If he wanted a gift receipt, he didn't show it, saying, "We don't have anything over the bed yet, so, hey, there you go!"
