The stars were out (big time!) at the recent Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Performers Peer Group Cocktail Reception, and "Yahoo at the Awards" was there to get the scoop on how this year's nominees are preparing for the biggest night in television.
Just ahead of the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards, host Kristen Aldridge asked several of this year's nominees what they planned to say if they win an award at this year's ceremony, and some of their answers were surprising.
"Modern Family" star Julie Bowen has won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category for the past two years in a row. Now, she's ready to share the wealth, but she wants it to be all in the family: "I will gladly take whatever hardware I have and lay it before Miss Vergara, happily," Bowen said of her co-star and fellow nominee, Sofia Vergara.
That's right, the gracious actress does not want a triple play.
"That would just look greedy," Bowen said. "I can't keep saying there was a mistake of accounting because it's happened more than once for me, but I would love to see it be Sofia."
