Parker Posey’s hilarious take on how to give an Emmy speech

Parker Posey is channeling her inner diva in a spoof instructional video on how to nail the acceptance speech for the television award show.
In the video, Parker plays an acting coach named JA,N — Just Act, Naturally — who teaches the "Emmy Speech Master Class."

JA,N instructs her students on all the acceptance speech must-haves: crying, name-dropping, and holding the Emmy like "you've already owned it."

The drama teacher advises winners to pitch a show while delivering their speech — "because you have everyone in the industry there." Also, "take your clothes off." Perhaps most importantly, she preps her pupils for losing so they won't look like they have egg on their face by yes, covering them in egg salad.

As the indie actress explains in the three-minute clip, the Emmy awards acceptance speech is "the most important part of any actor's career." Aside from getting an actual part in an actual TV show, of course.

As one of her satisfied students says, "All I have to do is book a roll on TV, be nominated and win, and I'll be ready."

You can watch the video and then tune into the Emmys on Sunday. Tune into Yahoo! for all your Emmy news.
