Haley Joel Osment ‘joins’ the cast of ‘It’s Always Sunny’ in Season 8 promo [Exclusive Video]

When a TV comedy hits Season 8, it's only natural to think about shaking things up. And apparently, the producers of FX's charmingly crass bar comedy "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" agree, because they're getting rid of the entire Paddy's Pub gang and bringing in high-profile replacements like Haley Joel Osment and Andrew "Dice" Clay. Well, not really -- but a hilarious promo for the new season of "Sunny" (premiering October 11) wants you to think that.

The promo (which we have an exclusive first look at above) unveils the new-look "Sunny" lineup: Osment as Mac ("Hey-oh!"), Candace Cameron (fresh off her "Full House" reunion) as kitten-mitten-loving Charlie, rapper and ride-pimper Xzibit as Sweet Dee, UFC champ Chael Sonnen (sans shirt, of course) as Dennis, and Dice as a gun-wielding Frank. The appearance by Osment is a nice inside joke for "Sunny" fans, who've been saying for years that "Sunny" star and creator Rob McElhenney looks just like a grown-up Osment. (And we kind of see it, now that you mention it.)

But wait, that's not all! We've also scored an extended behind-the-scenes look at the making of the promo, with lots more Haley Joel sporting some serious Mac stubble; check it out below. This bonus clip keeps its tongue firmly in cheek, with the new cast members talking excitedly about their roles and the "old" cast of "Sunny" angrily griping about being replaced. No matter who's hanging out at Paddy's these days, though, we'll definitely be pulling up a barstool when Season 8 rolls around next month.

[Editors' Note: Yahoo! TV did not bother to reach out to Rob (aka "Old Rob") McElhenney for comment, but he repeatedly called the Y! TV editors to let us know "he was unreachable."]
