What do dads of teen girls living in the Big Apple fear the most? Sex in the city.
In ABC's new sitcom "Suburgatory," 16-year-old, Manhattan-raised Tessa (Jane Levy) is suddenly whisked away to the 'burbs after her single dad, George (Jeremy Sisto), discovers a box of condoms in her drawer. "He pulled me out of school, bubble-wrapped my life, and threw it in the back of a moving truck," Tessa laments. Father and daughter find themselves thrown into a strange neighborhood that's brimming with white picket fences, perfectly manicured lawns, and overly Botoxed housewives with boob jobs. The sarcastic Tessa is immediately appalled by the high school's mean girls and their superficial obsessions, while George is equally uncomfortable in their new surroundings. Luckily for Tessa and George, purgatory is only temporary. Too bad we can't say the same for suburbia.
