"The Biggest Loser": All the bidding on the weight loss with the poker chips just reminded me how much I love the song "The Gambler."  I used to listen to that 45 (it's what we called mp3s in the 70's, kids; deal with it) over and over again. And I think I just figured out now that The Gambler died at the end when he "broke even."  They don't say how, but I'm guessing it had something to do with Kenny Rogers' Roasters.

"Celebrity Wife Swap": Every man watching this show with his wife at one point had to turn and say, "Dee Snider's wife is one of the hottest mom's I've ever seen."  Admit it.  Although I'd have to say Dee had better hair back in his Twisted Sisters days.

"Dance Moms": The mom's always seem to have a hard time understanding why their daughter's always get yelled at, but I'm having a hard time trying to figure out why they continue to put up with it!  Abby, the head dance instructor, is super scary and mean! I

"The Bachelor": Did Jenna spend more time crying or complaining? Not sure. I'm not feeling this season so far. Maybe I'm just jealous but can the girls stop talking about Ben's hair?

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills": Note to self: become friends with Kyle's husband, Mauricio, since apparently he invites all his pals to come celebrate his birthday every year on his dime at the Four Seasons in Hawaii.  But hey, how come they have a hotel called the "Four Seasons" in Hawaii, where there's pretty much only one season all year round?  Also, while we're at it, what is the deal with airplane food?  Hey, try the veal.

"Tabatha Takes Over": So Tabatha dropped by and yes, she took over.   But she didn't just have us clean up the set. She decided which shows we'll cover this week, what the lead topic was last night ("Bachelor girl needs makeover... Mentally"), and what we can add to our set in the background.  However, because of

"Kourtney & Kim Take New York": People assume a lot of things about Kim Kardashian, and I'm one of those people. And I've always assumed that she is super smart when it comes to school subjects like math and history. So when she admitted to not being much of a history buff after being a few centuries away from knowing when Columbus discovered America, I was absolutely shocked; shocked, I tell you!

"Real Housewives of Atlanta": One of my resolutions for 2012 is to only refer to the titles of all the "Housewives" shows by their initials. So from now on I will only type in my blog; RHOA, RHOBH, RHONJ, RHOOC. I'm all about streamlining in the new year.

"Gator Boys": Growing up in Southern California and Pittsburgh, dealing with alligators was never really an issue.  But after seeing this, it seems like it's a daily thing in Florida:  "Frankie, careful when you get the paper this morning; there's a gator in the mailbox."  But, I

"Jersey Shore": So they kept hinting that Vinnie might want to leave the house and ended the show with a cliffhanger. Will he stay, will he go?!?  Well in the preview for the whole season we see him leaving the house to go home. BUT on commercial breaks he's with the whole gang again talking about the entire season!!  Such a tangled web they weave... I'm just glad the gang is back home so they can stop embarrassing Americans, and just fully concentrate on embarrassing Italians and people from New Jersey.

"Project Runway All Stars": For the main challenge the designers had to shop at the 99 cent store, which is one of my favorite places to go.  In my free time I enjoy going in there and taking random items to the front of the store and asking how much they are, knowing full well that the answer is 99 cents.  After about 20 items, they usually ask me to buy something or leave and so I go on my way with a generic bottle of

"Jersey Shore: The 'Primetime in No Time' Interview": So the ladies of 'Jersey Shore' came by, and they were great, and you know what?  I AM taller than Snooki!  Same with Deena, but I think JWOWW got me by a hair.  I have to say my favorite moment of the interview was when they gave me a faux-hawk, and we came up with my 'Jersey Shore' name: 'Frank The Antennae.'  That is much better than the one I had in high school: Frank 'The Septic Tank.'  Not sure how I got that one, but it didn't help with the ladies.

James Gandolfini, who won three Emmy Awards for his indelible role as mob boss Tony Soprano in HBO's "The Sopranos," died while on vacation in Italy at age 51. While Tony Soprano was a larger-than-life figure, Gandolfini was exceptionally modest and obsessive — he described himself as "a 260-pound Woody Allen." HBO called the actor a "special man, a great talent, but more importantly a gentle and loving person who treated everyone, no matter their title or position, with equal respect."
