More rambling from "Primetime in No Time" host Frank Nicotero:
"American Idol": So Jane Carrey, daughter of comedian Jim, has the long drive home from Pasadena to Hollywood. About 25 minutes even with traffic... I actually thought she was good until the ending when she rushed the song and gave up on the finale. There's always next year....or the $100 million you will inherit one day. Sing for fun and don't worry about the bills. In a perfect world that would work for all singers and comics.
"Person to Person": George Clooney showed off his digs and I was a bit taken aback at how un-Hollywood it was. He's had the same house for nearly twenty years, since the second season of 'ER'! Jeez, not only is Clooney like the coolest guy in Hollywood, but he also seems down to earth too. I was expecting some kind of crazy mansion, but it wasn't really anything special. Oh yeah, except for his built in movie theater. I guess that was kind of cool!
"Modern Family": I realized why the families on 'Modern Family' get along so well: no one has a job! Unlike, oh EVERY OTHER FAMILY ON THE PLANET where one of the parents goes to work, slaves away for 10 hours, and then comes home looking for a hot meal and not get annoyed by the kids. Heck, I work only 20 minutes a night (I can't count watching TV; I'd do that anyway), and need 'down time' AND 'personal time.'
