Last night on "American Idol," Skylar Laine--a girl my "The Day After" co-host Matt Whitfield and I actually thought had a chance of making it to the finale--surprisingly went home in fifth place. Matt and I are not happy about this, but we do believe that Skylar might end up being one of the biggest stars to emerge from Season 11 anyway--perhaps even following in the cowgirl-booted footsteps of last night's musical guest, country Idol Carrie Underwood.
