Last night, the top four competed on "The Voice" semifinal, and interestingly, tonight, only ONE of them will go home. Yes, contrary to previous rumors, reports, and assumptions, it seems that the Season 3 finale next week will be a showdown between three finalists, not two, and today, my "The Day After" co-host Matt Whitfield and I have a few conspiracy theories as to why the show's format may have been tweaked at the last minute.

As the music world mourns the death of 43-year-old Mexican-American singing star Jenni Rivera, the popular TV singing competition on which she was a coach, "The Voice Mexico" (or "La Voz...Mexico"), will continue without her.

Jenni--who also starred in her own day-in-the-life reality show, "I Love Jenni," on the mun2 cable channel--was tragically killed in a plane crash last Sunday (while on her way to a "La Voz" taping), thus understandably delaying Sunday night's "La Voz" semifinal on the Televisa network. (Televisa aired a Jenni tribute special instead.) However, "La Voz...Mexico" will "resume with its regular transmission" this coming weekend, according to a statement by Televisa reps to The Hollywood Reporter--with no planned tweaks to the show's usual format.

James Arthur wins "The X Factor U.K." Season 9While you were catching up on all those "The X Factor USA" episodes on your DVR this past weekend (or doing other things with your time), a talented 24-year-old troubadour from Middlesbrough, England, named James Arthur, won Season 9 of "The X Factor U.K.," with 53.7 percent of the vote.
