‘The Biggest Loser’: Who Will Win Season 13?

A new crop of contestants is ready to drop the pounds on Season 13 of "The Biggest Loser" (Chris Haston/NBC)A new crop of contestants is ready to drop the pounds on Season 13 of "The Biggest Loser" (Chris Haston/NBC)Is it just us, or is NBC's "Biggest Loser" never not on TV? Seriously, does this show never take a break? Anyway, even though it seems like Season 12 barely ended, Season 13 is already underway, with a fresh batch of heavy contestants eager to let America watch them at their most vulnerable. Here's who's who and who we think has the best odds of winning, based on the season premiere:

    Adrian
Stats: 32-year-old music producer from Evanston, IL
    Starting Weight: 370
First Impression: We barely got to know him, as he didn't even make it on campus officially. But we did learn that he can't run a 40-yard dash.
Odds of Winning: 1,001 to 1. His odds of getting back on the ranch depend on if he and his sister lose 50 pounds of weight on their own. And then they have to get back in the mix with everyone else. Seems insanely unlikely.

    'Buddy' (aka Allen)
Stats: 42-year-old pastor from Wayne, MI
    Starting Weight: 403
First Impression: It's probably a great thing for him that he didn't have to rely on Ben as a teammate, since Ben essentially threw in the towel after a week. Buddy, who had a daughter with spina bifida who lived only six months, started eating out of depression after her death. He's doing this for his remaining kids, which is a good thing because Dr. H told him he was on the verge of a heart attack.
Odds of Winning: 6 to 1. He's the biggest guy on campus this season, lost 22 pounds his first week out, and generally seems driven. Too bad that the weight he got from cutting ties with Ben can't be put toward his total.

    Cassandra
Stats: 25-year-old in-home senior caregiver from Fowlerville, MI
    Starting Weight: 239
First Impression: She's young and spunky and seems to have a great sense of humor. Plus, she came on this show with her grandma. We liked that when tasked with the 40-yard dash, she willingly took it on because she optimistically thought she might be a runner and not know it. Given that she came in second, she might be onto something.
Odds of Winning: 7 to 1. She's filled with the right energy and attitude and doesn't seem to be a complainer. Bob likes her attitude, and so do we. Even at her relatively small weight, she's got a good chance of winning.

    'Chism' (aka Isaac)
Stats: 19-year-old student from Magnolia, TX
    Starting Weight: 361
First Impression: We're confused why a kid named Isaac would willingly be called Chism, but whatever. He seems a bit needy and whiny because of his very young age.
Odds of Winning: 40 to 1. He seems like he'll be off the ranch fairly quickly.

    Christine
    Stats: 42-year-old from Middlebury, IN
    Starting Weight: 240
First Impression: Mrs. Claus has some good taste, as she sent her husband to Dolvett for training so that Roy could get Dolvett's rock-hard abs. Smart lady.
Odds of Winning: 30 to 1. She doesn't seem to have the drive to win this thing, but we certainly can't say we'd be upset if Mrs. Claus won.

    Conda
Stats: 24-year-old nutrition health service tech from Rockford, MI
    Starting Weight: 294
First Impression: She's a struggling single mom on the ranch with her brother. At least she's got Dolvett to work with.
Odds of Winning: 45 to 1. She's not only got to lose weight, but she's also spoken out early about who on her team she doesn't get along with (that would be Mike), and that could get her sent packing early.

    Daphne
Stats: 37-year-old paralegal from Evanston, IL
    Starting Weight: 271
First Impression: She's a tough single mom, but she's got an uphill battle as she's not officially on the show.
Odds of Winning: 1,000 to 1. She is relying on her brother to get back on the ranch, which is a problem as she seems a bit more motivated than he does.

    Emily
Stats: 29-year-old teacher from Huntersville, NC
    Starting Weight:264
First Impression: Former Olympic weightlifter, who gained weight after she stopped lifting because she was used to people telling her what to eat and how to train. She might be the crying Bob girl this season.
Odds of Winning: 4 to 1. She's got the athletic background, but doesn't seem quite as tough as her former pink partner Kim N. Given how she gained the weight in the first place, she might struggle when they send her home.

    Gail
Stats: 57-year-old realtor from Poolesville, MD
    Starting Weight: 322
First Impression: She's a bit older and doesn't know how to play Rock, Paper, Scissors, but learned that she wants to work with Bob. We didn't learn much else about her.
Odds of Winning: 20 to 1. She did OK in her first workout, and we like her gruff attitude, but she doesn't seem like a front-runner.

    Jeremy
Stats: 22-year-old banker from Rockford, MI
    Starting Weight: 389
First Impression:He was the most vocally upset person about being split up from his sister, but quickly took her up on her offer to let him pick his trainer. So, selfish and whiny. Great combination, dude.
Odds of Winning: 50 to 1. He's a big guy, didn't lose a ton of weight in the first weigh-in, and could be voted off as a liability/threat not that far down the road.

    Joe
Stats: 38-year-old truck driver from Auburn, NY
    Starting Weight: 357
First Impression: He's Mike's brother and seemingly the quiet one of the pair. And possibly nicer? At least he hasn't offended anyone yet.
Odds of Winning: 10 to 1. Big guy. Nice enough. Strong weight loss. He's in the hunt for sure.

    Kim N.
Stats: 38-year-old former professional wrestler from Roswell, GA
    Starting Weight: 252
First Impression: This former wrestler used to weigh 128 pounds and had a fantastic body -- until she took a bad fall in the ring and broke her back. She still finished the match, and is therefore bad-ass and awesome.
Odds of Winning: 2 to 1. She's our hands-down favorite to win this thing. If she can tolerate the pain of a broken back, she can easily handle this training.

    Kim S. (aka Kimmy)
Stats: 48-year-old registered nurse from Dittmer, MO
    Starting Weight: 219
First Impression: We vaguely remember seeing her as we tried to be convinced that her "older" team with Dolvett had a good shot, but know little else about her.
Odds of Winning: 17 to 1. She may be in it, but she seems like the kind of person who might offer her spot up so that someone else could stay on the ranch.

    Lauren
Stats: 26-year-old exercise physiologist from Poolesville, MD
    Starting Weight: 246
First Impression: We don't know much about her yet, but given that we do know her occupation, it seems a little odd that she's on this show to begin with. Y'know, healer, heal thyself and all.
Odds of Winning: 15 to 1. If she can put the knowledge she has to use, she could be a contender.

    Mark
Stats: 43-year-old youth pastor from Magnolia, TX
    Starting Weight: 291
First Impression: He claims he got here because he's just lazy, but he was injured (he fell spectacularly during the 40-yard dash and pulled a hamstring) during the first challenge and powered through to a solid Week 1 weight loss.
Odds of Winning: 5 to 1. He's a strong guy and very focused. He's one to watch.

    Megan
Stats: 21-year-old college student from Dittmer, MO
    Starting Weight: 259
First Impression: She nearly puked during the first workout and is a bit slow on the weight loss tip. She's got a long way to go.
Odds of Winning: 16 to 1. She didn't come out of the gate strong and has an uphill battle to win.

    Mike
Stats: 41-year-old cook from Oakland, CA
    Starting Weight: 358
First Impression: Brother of Joe, and the more obnoxious one. He's already rubbed Conda the wrong way.
Odds of Winning: 12 to 1. These types always do better than we imagine, so he'll stick around a while, but hopefully he'll be ousted for ticking off the wrong person.

    Nancy
Stats: 63-year-old retiree from Fowlerville, MI
    Starting Weight: 217
First Impression: This hip grandma just started watching the show and is in love with Dolvett and not shy about expressing that. She has 13 kids and more than 50 grandchildren. She's practically a TLC show waiting to happen.
Odds of Winning: 80 to 1. She's great and totally randy, but she didn't lose very much weight and has never worked out in her entire life.

    Roy
Stats: 63-year-old Santa Claus from Middlebury, IN
    Starting Weight: 306
First Impression: He dresses as Santa, and looks like he perfectly fits the part and stayed optimistic even when Bob nearly killed him during the first workout.
Odds of Winning: 60 to 1. We'd love to see Santa do well and lose that cookie weight, but Mrs. Claus claims that he's got some co-dependency issues, which could send him ho, ho, home.

The trainers and managers of the Biggest Loser show should step in to stop the bullying; for example the chaos and personal attacks from Chonda towards Adrian which drug most of the red team into a sabotage against Adrian's return to the show. It was disgusting abuse of a Adrian's rights to be on the Biggest Loser campus and fair use of the opportunity of the program without constant harassment.
There should be rules for fair use of the campus without bullying and harassment from other participants. Clean up the show, It is disgusting to watch people like Chonda at work to destroy another person's chances for the fair use the campus.

Obviously, the red team is the the team of the mean girls, headed by Conda. I don't cuss, but I know what I would call her if I did!

this season sucks they are getting a chance to change their life for free and it is just a bunch of winers and lazy people that do not deserve the chance. Get out of the way and give people that really want to be there and change their lives. I AM EVEN DISAPPOINTED IN BOB.

I am not feeling it this season. I usually find at least one person to root for on the very first show. This group is whiny and lazy and not very inspiring.

So if they lose some sort of challange, do they have to eat a large combination pizza and a chocolate cake?

People , gravy is not on the food triangle and grape soda is not a fruit!

I think the aqua team will lose the weight and come back. They would surly add a little color to the show. And if someone would just let all that hot air out of Conda she would stand a better chance of winning.

Really? They made them run a 40 yd dash to "qualify" for the chance to lose weight?? Seems like the LOSERS of the dash should have been automatically invited to the "ranch," and the winners had to prove that they needed help getting in shape. Very odd.

I take it you DON'T watch the show.

I don't like the game-play either. I know the team that didn't make it onto the ranch has a chance to come back later, but I think this show should be straight-up weight loss - you're the low one for the week and you're out. Enough of the drama and trash talk.
