This isn't really the news "blooper" it's being touted as, since it didn't happen live, but it is still notable: a reporter on Long Island, who went to the home of a woman accused of leaving her baby daughter in a hot car while she went shopping, got a bucket of water thrown at her when she knocked on the door. The mild amusement of that fact, though, is overshadowed by the seriousness of the alleged crime. (At least to me!)
