Aziz Ansari and Chris Pratt’s Cancer PSA is the Funniest Cancer PSA

"Parks & Recreation" co-stars Aziz Ansari and Chris Pratt want you to "give a s**t about cancer" by getting your friends to join the national bone marrow registry by swabbing their mouths, and they have the funniest way of communicating it. This is definitely the hardest I've ever laughed at a cancer PSA (the better to get the word out, of course.) Chris Pratt is really the star of this one—Aziz plays the straight man:

A PSA that attracts viewers and demonstrates how easy it is to register as a bone marrow donor and possibly save a life, what is not to like? These men are ACTORS, most likely donating their time. The only thing they are laughing at is themselves. If this ad causes just one person to register for the bone marrow site, it will be worth it. Well done!

They're trying to use their celebrity to try to help people with blood cancer Laura. Maybe your dad would appreciate that.

As a 5 year cancer (Stage 3C) survivor I say, yeah, it's funny and anything that humor can do is great and appreciated by all of us survivors and current patients! We have our own (mostly kind of dark) cancer humor that the general public might find a bit shocking. But, it helps to get through surgery and chemo and all that fear. Lighten up people!

I wonder if the dna testing is anonymous (based on #s) or is everyone's dna gonna be stored in some grand governmental database?

Yeah, too bad this commercial contained nothing to laugh at. It was tasteless, lame & asinine.

The main purpose is to promote awareness.

sorry, I didn't find it funny.

That wasn't funny and not because it was about cancer. If it was about anything, even something funny - it wouldn't be funny.
