Jon Stewart is back from holiday hiatus and ready to take on the pepper spraying that occurred in his absence. Calling the toxic substance "the new car horn," Stewart covers the UC Davis and Black Friday incidents from angles heretofore unexplored by the media (somehow!). It helps that Stewart was out ahead of the pepper spray fad with the trailer for the Tony Bologna story starring Christopher Meloni, which still might be the funniest thing that happened on a late night TV show in 2011. The "Daily Show" team sure is good at breathing life into the news's dead horses when they come back from hiatus:

ABOUT THE SET
The Set is a blog about TV by two friends who've each been watching and writing about television for years. The Set is a celebration of the small screen in all its glories and failures — because when it comes to TV, there are no guilty pleasures.
