"Smash," NBC's answer to "Glee," doesn't start until February, but it's already buzzier than some of the shows the network premiered this fall (rest in peace, "Free Agents," "The Playboy Club," and probably "Prime Suspect"!). In a kind of teaser for the series, NBC has released a full music-video treatment for "Beautiful," which Broadway ingénue Karen (Katharine McPhee) performs for her audition to play Marilyn Monroe in a new musical. And hey, how fortunate that Karen's chosen number happens to have originally been performed by another NBC star!
