Last night's episode of “Under the Dome” was a jaw-dropping, tear-jerking, incredibly intense thrill ride. If you missed “Imperfect Circles” when it aired, we’ve got all the juicy details and insane Twitter reactions right here, right now.
Executive producer Neal Baer wasn’t kidding when he said the episode would make people cry. But plenty of loyal Dome-heads missed out on “Imperfect Circles” because of a dispute between Time Warner Cable and CBS. Angry fans took to Twitter to complain, of course!
Time Warner customers: u can't watch tonight's #UnderTheDome because TWC has dropped CBS. Call 888-TW-Cable. Tell them u want ur CBS shows.— Under The Dome (@UnderTheDomeCBS) August 6, 2013
AGAIN: TW replaced CBS with Starz Kids. Instead of Under the Dome, they're showing Stepmom. What a giant magic digit to everyone.— Keenan Mayo (@wkeenan_mayo) August 6, 2013
For the fans who could watch the episode, there were some great moments between Joe and Norrie, which fanned the flames of “Jorrie” shippers everywhere. Barbie and Julia slept together, but the relationship between Joe and Norrie definitely took the romantic center stage this week.
After some steamy flirtation, Joe and Norrie explore the land under the dome in the hopes of finding some answers. The duo, along with canine companion Truman, locates the center of the dome. They discover a mysterious black egg that has many fans freaking out.
Oh I see. It's a dragon's egg making the dome. That makes perfect sense. #UnderTheDome— artsydenise (@artsydenise) August 6, 2013
Meanwhile, one of Julia’s friends goes into labor! The baby has the umbilical cord wrapped around its neck, but Barbie and Alice help to deliver the baby safely. The baby is named Alice, after Norrie’s mom. But as soon as the baby is delivered, Norrie’s mom has some sort of heart attack and dies!
Alice's fate has been sealed since that sweet dancing scene. #UnderTheDome refuses to let you have even have small moments of happiness.— Kyle Trembley (@KyleLovesTV) August 6, 2013
I wonder if every time a baby is born under the dome, someone else is going to die.— ~CandyCanes~ (@Bro_Im_Crazy) August 6, 2013
Norrie runs out of the house after Alice dies, and tearfully yells at the dome to bring her mother back. When she asked the dome what it wants from her, the strange egg glowed purple and “pink stars” appeared!
Remember what they whisper during their seizures, pink stars are falling? (Pink inside the dome egg?!) Coincidence?! #UnderTheDome— TonyBalbone (@TonyBalbone) August 6, 2013
All of the weirdness in this episode has some TV fans thinking of another famously weird show set in a mysterious location. Can you guess which show?
Across town, TV fans were surprised to find that Big Jim was actually doing some good work. After acting like the villain for most of the season, Big Jim was surprisingly relatable and kind of awesome! For one thing, he disciplined his psychotic son.
That slap Junior got was long overdue #UnderTheDome— Anabelle (@sydrianfeels) August 6, 2013
Later on, Big Jim takes on some bad guys who want to steal his propane. On a drunken bender, Big Jim blows up a truck full of propane!
Okay Big Jim. You have my permission to kill that creepy old guy. #UnderTheDome— Lauri B. (@PigsWalkUpright) August 6, 2013
#UnderTheDome IS SO CONFUSING I STARTED OUT HATING JUNIOR AND BIG JIM BUT NOW I LOVE THEM AND I WANT OLLY TO GET PUNCHED IN THE FACE— su (@shutupsu) August 6, 2013
Big Jim!! KABOOM! #underthedome— Dan Freise (@DanFreise) August 6, 2013
As Big Jim’s popularity rose in this episode, Barbie’s popularity plummeted. While there are still some Barbie fans out there, many viewers are getting sick of how “perfect” Barbie has been.
#UnderTheDome stop it. Barbie can't be the hero in EVERY DAMN situation!— William the Bloody (@BloodyWilliam) August 6, 2013
#UnderTheDome Barbie has saved that kid from the falling plane, prevented a rape, stopped those guys from stealing gas, and delivered a baby— William the Bloody (@BloodyWilliam) August 6, 2013
Despite all the surprising twists and turns, it seems like there are still a vocal group of “Under the Dome” viewers who are only sticking with the show because they’re “hate-watching” it.
The best part about missing an episode of Under the #Dome is knowing that you've missed almost no plot development whatsoever!— Jon Eiseman (@Jon_Eiseman) August 6, 2013
Ok Dome, let's see which side of the intriguing drama/ridiculous hilarity coin you'll fall on tonight. #UnderTheDome— Niko (@nikoscream) August 6, 2013
Which “Under the Dome” character do you like more: Barbie or Big Jim? Do you “hate-watch” the show? And what’s the deal with that creepy egg? Tell us what you thought about “Imperfect Circles” in the comments section below!
Good acting--one thing that definitely did not get trapped under the dome.— Ron Feiereisel (@Ron_Feiereisel) August 6, 2013
I now watch Under The Dome just to see how much more ludicrously bad it gets. Kind of like the final season of Lost. YOU WIN, CRAP.— Ken Plume (@KenPlume) August 6, 2013
