If you've always dreamed of being in a movie with Tara Reid and the guy with the blonde mullet from "90210," then congratulations. Your shockingly modest fantasy stands a chance of coming true. Provided you got some money to burn.
The producers of "Sharknado 2" are auctioning off a part in the upcoming SyFy flick. Bids are currently over $1,000 and are likely to rise even higher by the time the gavel bangs on November 7.
Due in large to the original's absurd premise and delightfully cheesy dialogue ("They took my grandfather. That's why I really hate sharks."), the first "Sharknado" garnered a surprisingly large fan base on Twitter.
So, what does the aspiring Olivier get for their money? According to the auction site, the winner will get a "walk on role." No word on exactly what that role will be. Will it include spoken lines? Will the winner get to "act" alongside (and perhaps be eaten by) poorly-CGI'd sharks? Wily producers are leaving us in suspense.
Kidding aside, the auction is for a good cause. Money raised will go toward the Lulu & Leo Fund, an art-focused cause dedicated to fostering "self-expression and healing for children and communities facing adversity."
