What would you do if you were trapped under the dome?
As fans of CBS's new science-fiction series "Under the Dome" know, these are no ordinary circumstances for the residents of Chester's Mill. The town has been surrounded by a mysterious dome (hence, the show's title) that's cut it off from the rest of the world.
In this exclusive clip, the show's cast discusses what they believe would be their initial reactions should a dome suddenly and inexplicably appear over their town.
"You don't know how to react until you're there," Mike Vogel (who plays Dale "Barbie" Barbara) said.
Samantha Mathis (Alice Calvert) discussed the most important thing to her: finding loved ones. "I would want to know where my loved ones were. That would be my first concern. Are they with me? Are they under the dome? Where are they? And if they're not, how do I get in touch with them?"
Other stars took the prospect more lightly. "I'd find the nearest Costco and just take over," Colin Ford (who portrays Joe McAlister) said.
Jolene Purdy (Dodee Weaver) talked about finding a way home for slightly unusual reasons. "My sister has a whole zombie apocalypse thing in her room with a machete," she said. "She's 18 and she has a machete. So I would try and get there."
"Under the Dome" has been airing for only about a month, and yet the series, based on a Stephen King novel of the same name, has captivated audiences with its mix of horror, mystery, and drama.
Today, CBS announced at its Television Critics Association press tour event that the show would be renewed for another season, scheduled to air next summer. "Under the Dome" will return to the network with 13 more episodes. The first season has not yet ended, but already the buzz around "Under the Dome" is palpable.
Have you thought about what you would do if you were caught under the dome in Chester's Mill? How would you react?
You can catch up with "Under the Dome" on Mondays at 10 PM on CBS.
