For the sake of entertainment, television shows -- even the reality ones -- often take artistic liberties in telling their stories. Sometimes the plotlines exaggerate reality, and other times they mimic it, so viewers are left wondering, "Was that true? Could that happen in real life?" Now's your chance to play TV detective and uncover the truth once and for all!

Our next TV Fact or Fiction question comes from this week's episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," titled "Russian Brides." When a mail-order Russian bride is found murdered, the SVU detectives must track down her fiancé for more information. Even though all they have to go on is a call the victim's fiancé made from a cell phone without GPS, Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Amaro (Danny Pino) are able to find the location of the cell phone and, later the fiancé himself.

What do you think? Is it really possible for the police to locate a cell phone that didn't have GPS or that had it turned off?

Use the slider below to let us know what you think, and check back tomorrow when we talk to "Law & Order: SVU" technical consultant Timothy J. Hardiman as he reveals the truth.
