Host It Bigger
June 19, 2009
The show is very informative, but I feel it is a bit too elementary in scope. Sure, not every viewer is knowledgeable in architecture or construction, but we're not all 5th graders either. Danny Forster seems like an intelligent and nice guy, but he is totally wrong for the show. You need to get Sean Riley, the host of "Colossal Construction", or a host like him. Someone who has real world experience and is capable of doing the job alongside the everyday workers.

The guy who hosts the show is such an absosolute whuss!!!! Because of him I can't stand to watch the show even though as a retired Engineer I think your show it is very informative. You could cetainly do much better without him. You don't need some dumb comeadium. (maybe he can spell) but thats about it!!!!!

I like the information the show has, but the host is a complete tool. he is a grown man who appearantly has a degree, but when he gets out into the field he looks like a complete moron. An architect does not like the stereo type of only being able to draw buildings and not have any idea how to build them. this show only adds to that stereotype.

Torch is RIGHT! He's embarrassing.

The Build It Bigger concept for a TV show is an interesting one, but the show could be much more entertaining and informative if Discovery would replace the host with someone more knowledgeable and intellectually well-rounded. I was very surprised to learn he is a Harvard graduate, or maybe I should NOT be surprised. The host appears to have VERY little life experience beyond a classroom, and the experiences he finds to be exciting are very mundane. Guess what, Danny, metal is hot after it's cut with a torch. The show comes across as very "dumbed down," and it would appear the target audience is thought of as being extremely unintelligent and clueless to everyday manufacturing processes. In summary, the show is boring, mundane, and not intellectually stimulating or challenging. Get a new host! The one you have is unqualified.
