Torch is RIGHT! He's embarrassing.
August 3, 2008The Build It Bigger concept for a TV show is an interesting one, but the show could be much more entertaining and informative if Discovery would replace the host with someone more knowledgeable and intellectually well-rounded. I was very surprised to learn he is a Harvard graduate, or maybe I should NOT be surprised. The host appears to have VERY little life experience beyond a classroom, and the experiences he finds to be exciting are very mundane. Guess what, Danny, metal is hot after it's cut with a torch. The show comes across as very "dumbed down," and it would appear the target audience is thought of as being extremely unintelligent and clueless to everyday manufacturing processes. In summary, the show is boring, mundane, and not intellectually stimulating or challenging. Get a new host! The one you have is unqualified.Was this review helpful to you? Sign in to rate -

Don't know why someone writes that there's no website. Every episode except for maybe the 1st one or two have Danny plugging the shows website. www.discovery.com/builditbigger can't be any easier then that. Decent website plus informaion that new season starts in July. (These type of shows generally are summer/early fall shows to grab people when they're not normally watching TV since everything else is in re-runs)

Whats up with Build it Bigger?
April 22, 2008I would like to know, if anyone else knows, why it is that Build it Bigger is so popular but yet Discovery Channel doesnt list it as one of their shows and the wesbite has no page dedicated to this show? Its one of the better programs that my familys likes to watch and it appears it was popular with others being it has upwards of 2 million viewers. Anyone have any answers to this I would like to know.

Love this show
February 27, 2008Yeah the host is a little whimpy, but he's funny and informative and overall an excellent host. I love getting to see all the great new ideas engineers and architects are coming up with all over the world. One word-AWESOME!!
October 4, 2007This is one of the more amazing shows I have seen in a long time. It is very informative..with a side order of humor..and it also doesn't hurt that there is a host that I can totally relate to..and charming at the same time! I enjoy seeing him prevail over his fears and endure some of the work that they have to go through.
I hope this show goes on for a long time.It is always interesting to see into the world of the engineers/architechs and what goes on to create these enormous structures..Keep doin' what ya do, you're doing a great job (Danny included!!) :)Was this review helpful to you? Sign in to rate
