Michael finally gets to meet his new handler Carla face-to-face, and she gives him what seems like a simple assignment: have a counterfeiter make a copy of a top-of-the-line security badge in two days. But complications take the form of Sam wanting his help with a pretty lady's stalker and Madeline wanting to drag Michael to counseling with her. And Sam's case turns out to be more complicated than it seems, with the stalker a drug smuggler and the stalkee an undercover DEA agent. Michael approaches both the counterfeiter and the stalker/smuggler using separate cover IDs. The stalker/smuggler turns out to be kind of a handful, making it difficult for Michael to turn the stalker's boss against him and force the stalker to flip for the DEA. But of course Michael pulls it off anyway, saving the stalkee, her case, and her job.
Michael and his mom don't have a great time at the counselor's, but they end up getting a bit closer together in their own way. As for the security badge, Michael gets his hands on a copy moments before going back to find the counterfeiter dead. So that's one possible lead on Carla's organization down the drain. But Michael quickly gets another when he tricks her into speaking Arabic to him and learns that she does so with a Kurdish accent. Oh, her . I totally know who she is now, don't you?
