Charles Mills

Received photographic training while serving in Air Force and entered industry through the federal government's Minority Labor Pool (enacted 1972) which required the film industry to hire one minority for every five whites employed in every capacity. Mills shot several TV projects before turning to film serving in assistant photography positions until his debut as cinematographer, "Boyz N The Hood" (1991).
