Why was America Tired of Mrs. Patti LaBelle?
December 21, 2007
If you know Mrs. Patti, than you would understand her. she worked with the choirs the same way she does herself. she has always performed giving 100% +. encouraging others to do the same. helping others to relize their potentials to the greatest and more. positve is what the world needs. we focus so much on negative things that when something good comes we don"t recognize it. how sad. how very, very, sad. All the choirs were fantastic and all deserve recognition. but also be honest and give due credit.
Encouraging others to do and not shooting them down for their achievingments, it helps when one has seen greatness in another it inspires one to do also.
Remember that song "What the World needs now..." and oh how true that song is.
Again Why? Why is America tired of love expressed in music? According to others comments, many were surprised as to who the winner was. i thought this show was different from all the other shows "american Idol"......But it is okay, somewhatingly... because someone out their was touched by Philly. someone's spirit was uplifited. Not only by Philly but by all the choirs. God's love shone and the devil was defeated!!!

As stated in my first comments...if you don't know Mrs. Patti, you don"t know her. The word "antics" as you and others so graciuously keep stating...go to one of her concerts. what you saw Patti is whom she is. her music has always been in every essence of her body, spirit, and soul. Mrs. Patti is a diva because she wants others to feel the same as the music makes her feel. Not "antics". It's called love. wanting to give to others as is given to her.

Well.....I'm ok with the results.

I truely think America got tired of Ms Patti's 'diva' antics. If she would have just stayed with her choir being a 'CHOIR' and not some sort of a production, she would have won. In the beggining they sung, and they sung very very well...... but then she went all 'diva' on them. LET THEM SING PATTI, JUST LET THEM SING!

I Don't Believe It

There is no way in this world that Patti LaBelle's team should have lost. All of the groups were dern good, but Patti's was by far the best.

This is a fun show for the Season!

I so enjoy choir singing, so this is nice. Just wish it was more choir singing. Disappointed with all the solo's, but heck, for the folks that are singing, what an experience so I'm not complaining if someone gets their dream come true. If I didn't know better, I would have thought the whole show was a marketing ploy by Patti LaBelle's agent and marketing staff (as well as her musical director who is probably 75% responsible for the quality of her choir.)
Nick Lachey and Blake Shelton (who I never hear of prior) are pleasant surprises with their humility, goodness, fun and 'dog gone' good nature. 'Them boys' got all around talent, not just a pretty face and voice.
Patty will win, Nick will come in second, Blake third, I will cry some more at the stories, the "everyday" choir members happiness and excitement, I will hear some nice holiday songs. Life is good.
Hope they do it annually, think its a very good idea with potential to be a bit better.
