This show is far beyond unique in a time when tv has taken things too far. Reality shows and evening game shows have gone too far and left those of us really wanting the escape of television with some true stories with meaning desperately wanting. That's what makes this show absolutely fascinating and far beyond its time. The music, the acting, and the ghosts of those left behind bring television to life. As we all know, no tv show really gets the details right about most jobs...that's the point about tv. But, Cold Case touches on the heart of closure--the music helps this so much. There is no show out there that can make you feel about this. Plus, it's not afraid to touch upon those controversial subjects...and it does so with class. From racism, sexims, classism, and homophobia...the show reflects so much of what we intellectuals desire. The show, while offering an escape gives us so much to hope for while also revealing the pain of loss. It's us who grieve. They let us experience this with every show. It is, by far, one of the best shows to ever exist. I can't wait til the DVD's come out, so that I can relieve the hope it gives over and over. It's something we need in a world that revels in pessimistic outcomes. Thanks to the writers, actors, producers, and all involved for giving a lot of us our here in the world something to look forward to--something that provides calm and reality to the world around us.

By the way, I missed the last five minutes of "Blackout" from season 4, episode 13, which played in my area today (Sun., 6-29).
Can anyone fill me in on "whodunit"? It starred Donna Mills as a lecherous granny. Thanks.

I agree this is a great show. I also like the way they switch back and forth. For some reason, the way they do it is not confusing.

This show does a great job putting you in the era of the case. Gives the feel of the civil rights issues and pop culture of those eras. The choice of music is very appealing.
