They started out as just a regular married couple raising twin girls in a Pennsylvania suburb. Oh, how times have changed. After bringing sextuplets into the world in 2004, the couple and their eight children became the subject of a little TLC show called “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” then got rich, then got entangled in a tabloid drama involving infidelity accusations, public insults, and battling over money and whether their kids should be allowed to remain on the show. Well, seems like we’ve reached a conclusion: Not only is their marriage over, but so is the series. What was once a cute reality show has turned into a lesson in how bringing cameras into a home can destroy not just privacy, but also families. The season finale finds the couple trying to adjust to life as single parents and, of course, giving us one last dose of those cute kids as the eight head with mom to a dairy farm and with dad to a fire station. So long, Jon and Kate. And good luck.
