Sarah Paulson

A Christian believer with moderate views and a silly sense of humor (p.s. we get it already!), Sarah Paulson breathes sweet life into the role of Harriet Hayes. If she wasn’t so loveable we would probably hold it against her for beating us over the head with her virtuous struggles. Her character’s relationship with show producer Matt Albie supposedly mirrors "Studio" creator Aaron Sorkin’s relationship with actress Kristin Cheonwith, who he worked with on "The West Wing." Paulson previously appeared in "Deadwood" and "Nip/Tuck." more

Ashley Scott

Former international model Ashley Scott is leaving her mark on the town of "Jericho" as good girl Emily Sullivan (former flame to Skeet Ulrich). Emily is part of a triangle (or quadrangle now with the return of her presumed dead fiance), central to the goings-on in the small town that survived a nuclear holocaust. Scott’s expressiveness and tender scenes with Jake ring true and help keep the normalcy going in a concept that could easily sway to the hard-to-believe.

Ashley Scott and Jericho return Feb. 21st on CBS.

Lizzy Caplan

Welcome to the big leagues, Lizzy. After a role on "Related," Lizzy is finally garnering attention for her turn as Kat Warbler on CBS’ freshman hit "The Class." Hiding behind that sarcastic wit, we’ve seen the genuineness her character likes to keep buried, especially in stark contrast to her optimistic, bubbly twin sister Lina. more

Paget Brewster

As the new addition to the "Criminal Minds" team, Paget Brewster’s Emily Prentiss is still trying to prove her worth to her superiors. Emily brings some much-needed balance to the BAU gang and spices up any scene she is in. Brewster previously hosted a local talk show in San Francisco that showed off her quick wit and also appeared on Showtime’s "Huff." more

Masi Oka

This breakout star on NBC’s red-hot "Heroes" (the appropriately named Hiro) won us over with his sheer exuberance at discovering his time and space-bending powers. On a show that can be a bit grim (umm, severed heads and nuclear explosions), Masi Oka shows us the lighter more earnest side of saving the world. Oka was actually on the cover of Time magazine as a kid (story on whiz kids), but was previously best known for playing lab technician Franklyn on "Scrubs." more

Minka Kelly

Talk about an impossible situation. What’s a girl to do when her boyfriend becomes paralyzed and she finds herself drawn to his best friend? That’s the scenario Minka Kelly faces as Lyla Garrity on "Friday Night Lights." Strong enough to overcome the brutal taunts of her high school classmates, Kelly draws us in and asks us to care. This stunner previously appeared in small roles on "What I Like About You" and "Drake and Josh." more

Mark Indelicato

Is he or isn’t he? Whether dressing as a miniature Gene Kelly for Halloween or requesting a renewal to Martha Stewart’s magazine, let’s just say Betty’s nephew Justin isn’t your typical adolescent boy. You may have seen Indelicato in an episode of "Chapelle’s Show," but "Ugly Betty" has launched him into the spotlight more

Jordana Spiro

As spunky sportswriter P.J Franklin, Jordana Spiro gives us a good reason to tune in to TBS on Tuesday nights. So likeable as a girl who is just one of the guys (her best friends are four men on "My Boys"), Spiro makes us wistfully recall our "Sex and the City” love affair with another wise-crackin’ city gal. Although she shone as a dog walker in "Must Love Dogs," this is Jordana's biggest role so far. more

Matthew Rhys

Portraying lawyer Kevin Walker on the ABC newcomer "Brothers and Sisters," Rhys serves as the glue that holds his dysfunctional and close-knit family together. His role as a gay man looking for love while balancing a career and family demands is layered with subtle pain and isolation. This U.K. native appeared in one of the "Columbo" television movies but most of his previous work was on the other side of the pond. more

Becki Newton

Who could make a binge-eating, insult-hurling, size-two blonde into a sympathetic character? Becki Newton, who plays secretary Amanda on "Ugly Betty" that’s who. Initially she was just fun to hate, but watching her bond with Betty (in her own dysfunctional way) made her fun to love. What could have easily been a one-dimensional caricature in Becki's hands became a unique and flawed woman that we actually root for. Small parts on "Charmed" and "American Dreams" definitely didn’t prepare us for this fantastically bitchy blitzkrieg. more

Eric Dane

It’s McSteamy time! As plastic surgeon Mark Sloan on "Grey’s Anatomy," Eric Dane raises the eye-candy quotient, which is quite an accomplishment for what was already the best-looking cast on primetime. Kudos to Dane for being so impressive in his one episode last season that show creator Shonda Rimes simply had to bring him back as a regular. Dane was in "X-Men: The Last Stand" and "Charmed" before hitting Seattle Grace. more

Zach Gilford

From the first episode of "Friday Night Lights," there’s been one big question on our minds: who the heck is this kid?! As backup quarterback Matt Saracen, Zach Gilford has given us a painfully genuine reflection of a good kid going through an impossible situation. Previously seen in an episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," we're pretty sure this talented 24-year-old Chicago native has officially arrived. more

Justin Hartley

Clark Kent isn’t the only do-gooder in "Smallville" with two identities. As millionaire Oliver Queen (aka Green Arrow), Justin Hartley shows there’s room for more than one hero in this little Kansas town. We’re totally down with the bow-and-arrow routine! Hartley previously was on the NBC soap "Passions." more

Ed Helms

"Office" mergers have never been this much fun. And the forced addition of Andy to the Dunder Mifflin family is the reason why. Ed Helms has pulled off the unthinkable, namely a drone that is more sycophantic than Dwight with regards to the amount of praise he’ll heap on incompetent boss Michael. Helms has been on "The Daily Show" but has really broken through as part of Thursday’s revamped "Must See" NBC lineup. more

James Tupper

As hunky, strong-but-silent, and environmentally conscious Jack on the new hit "Men in Trees," James Tupper has many considering a move to Alaska in search of the perfect man. The sexual sparks are flying between Jack and Marin (Anne Heche) on this unusual yet strangely satisfying new favorite show. Tupper previously showed up on our sets on episodes of "Gilmore Girls" and "CSI: New York." more

Meredith Eaton

At 4 feet tall, Meredith Eaton is a dynamo as dimunitive but fiery lawyer Bethany Horowitz on the loopy but always entertaining "Boston Legal." The scenes where Denny (on-again/off-again lover) is gossiping about Bethany only to discover she’s right beneath him never get old. Someone make her a series regular, already! Eaton previously was seen on "Family Law" and "House." more
