Duel

Play Online (abc.com)

This high-stakes game show burst onto the primetime scene late 2007, bringing back fun memories of the phenomenon "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" with its dramatic music and dimly lit space-age set. The game pits one contestant against another as they answer multiple choice questions in a quest to win $500,000. The online game is set up similarly to the show (minus the big prize, of course): You start the game with 10 chips which you can use to hedge your bet by choosing more than one answer to each question. The catch is that you don't want to run out of chips and if you get even one question wrong, you're out. Play solo or register online to challenge others to a daring "Duel."

Deal or No Deal

Play Online (nbc.com)

If you’re one of those people who think the best thing about the popular game show “Deal or No Deal” is the sexy girls, you may be a bit disappointed by the online versions; it’s just you vs. rows of numbered briefcases (without a model in sight), each containing a different dollar amount ranging between $1 and $1 million. However, there are several games to choose from, including one that stays true to the format of the show and another that involves trivia (and registering) with the chance to win real money. And if you do miss the girls, it looks like they sometimes let the viewers choose a new Briefcase Model for the chance to win $10,000. How thoughtful.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire

Play Online (millionairetv.com)

A little British import called "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" premiered in the summer of 1999 and eventually devoured the majority of ABC's lineup before moving into daytime syndication. It was a monster hit that not only revitalized the primetime Game Show but also whet the public's appetite for Reality programming. If you ever want to party like it's 1999, you can always play the game online. Modeled after the show, a player answers a series of multiple choice questions, and each correct answer moves the player closer to the $1 million level. The game also offers help in the form of the same three lifelines: the 50/50, Phone a Friend, and Ask the Audience. The online game is a great way to test your trivia knowledge as the questions increase in difficulty the closer you get to the big win.

Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?

Play Online (fox.com)

Believe it or not, there are tons of adults out there who are NOT smarter than a 5th grader? Are you one of them? Like the TV show, the online game tests how much you've forgotten since grade school in subjects like math, geography, and social studies. You get to choose a category and a 5th grader to be your teammate. Each 5th grader has a favorite subject in which they're more knowledgeable, so choose wisely! If you go two rounds with all correct answers, you'll have to choose a new 5th grader teammate. When the questions get tough, you have three cheats – copy, peek, and save – to help you move on to the next question. You can only use each cheat once and when all three are used up, you can say 'Sayonara' to your teammate, 'cause you'll be on your own. If you get to the million-point question, you won't be able to use cheats to help you answer it. You can drop out at any point in the game, but the more questions you answer correctly, the better chance you have of getting on the honor roll. You can also register to see how smart everyone else is.

Chain Reaction

Play Online (gsn.com)

This new millennium revival of the '80s game show is part word game and part battle of the sexes when teams of three men go up against teams of three women as they try to fill in the blanks with letters and guess the hidden words that are somehow related to each one through a chain of words (i.e. "house" comes after "club," but before "fire"). The online version's board gives you your first and last word in a chain of seven and it's up to you to guess what the five in between are before time runs out. Each time you make a wrong guess another letter will be revealed, getting you closer to figuring out the right word, but reducing your possible score. Just don't let that intense music and ticking clock psych you out!

The Moment of Truth

Play Online (fox.com)

Let's hope you don't have any deep, dark secrets in your closet, because they surely will end up out in the open on this show! Contestants on this FOX game show are asked a series of questions ranging from the innocuous to the shocking ("Have you ever wanted to be married to your ex-girlfriend instead of your wife?") while strapped to a lie-detector machine. They then are forced to reveal their answers on the show and in front of their loved ones. Ugh, uncomfortable much?? The harder and more cringe-worthy the question, the higher the dollar value. Contestants might walk away with some cold, hard cash, but will they walk away with their family's support and their dignity? In the online game, you can play along and challenge friends, co-workers and family members to indeed tell the truth. (If they dare).
