Why is Catherine's Roll Diminished?
November 21, 2009
"CSI" has long been one of my favorite shows. Its characters especially give the programs their drive, their essenses, and their raison d'etres. One can understand that actors would want to opt out to pursue other venus for their professions; or perhaps, they simply burn out, or as in the case of William Peterson, he wanted to limit his role to producing and not taking on the podigious role of Gil Grissom as well.
Bring in Lawrence Fishburn, a suberb actor whose character has yet to find its way and its direction. But where is Catherine? Her character seems to be limited to a brief line of dialogue here and there that barely adds to the plotline, the characterizaions, the mystery of an episode, or any interest much at all. She's a worthy character who has been allowed to grow, demonstrate depth, a variety of emotional testaments, and yet, when the 'boss' leaves, she is practically ignored. Marg Helgengberger is a terrific actress, glamorous, well-skilled. Why not let her pursue Catherine's characteristics with greater frequenty.
In short, where is Willows? I miss her.

Kathrine needs more
November 19, 2009
I loved the old csi, when Grissom left I thought Kathrine would take the lead. Show her more hands on. She should have been the one to go to miami and ny, not fishburn. His name is shown first like Grissom's was, Marg is not getting her just rights on this show!! I don't care how anyone else feels. Right is always RIGHT!!!!! She is the boss now and if they don't start showing more of her role as the boss, then they will see the show slip away! Next season they will be put on sunday nights like without a trace was, now off the line up altogether! Cold case is next to be out!!

Interpersonals Vs. Crime Solving
November 12, 2009
I am not much of a TV person and found CSI Las Vegas in 2009, which means I am a re-run viewer. Must admit enjoying the personal interactions between Grissom and Warwick, and Grissom and Sara. Mr. Fishburn has always been on my favorite actors list so his addition to the program as comparably as bookish as Grissom fits. This CSI was by far the best of the three. Without the juxtaposition of the irrationality of team-mate relationships and the rationality of forensic science, the show is reduced to how best to create puzzles for the viewer to solve. In the old episodes much of the fun was whether Warwick, Grissom or Sara would come to the same conclusions as I did.

bring back the past

I agree with those who say Fishburn just does not work out. His personality seems flat not exciting in any sense. His character is a bore. Give him some exciting hobby or interest make him like his

Not interested

I've seen almost every episode of CSI: Las Vegas with Grissom leading the team. I think I may have watched 2 or 3 shows since he has left. This show has really gone down hill. I now spend my time watching re-runs of CSI: Miami or CSI: NY.
