"Oprah": Ever since the finale of "The Sopranos," it seems like the only Journey song people care about is "Don't Stop Believin'." That is, until Rob Weddle reminded everyone of a little classic tune called "Separate Ways," which reminded me that it is my favorite Journey song of all time. Rob got a lot of props from the judges, even though I thought his performance was just pretty good, but what do I know? Wait a minute, I know a lot, like the kid from "Jerry Maguire"! Do you know the human head weighs eight pounds? Or that my next-door neighbor has three rabbits?
"Tyra": Goodbye weave, get rid of the cake makeup, stop stuffing your bra, and trim those toes! Tyra's guests got makeUNDERS today and they were much needed! Also, Tyra told us about marshmallows that are supposed to help with wrinkles and reduce cellulite, which made me think of one thing ... SMORES!!!!
"GMA": A celebrity wedding planner flew in to help calm down correspondent-turned-bridezilla Melissa Rycroft in the weeks before her wedding to Ty Strickland. We all learned a new term: weddiquette. As in, DO invite those far-flung relatives as a courtesy, but DON'T forgo the formal seating plan, unless you want Aunt Gladys and Uncle Phil pulling up seats for themselves at the head table, and helping themselves to all that lobster tail you put on your credit card. Oh, and get this: Apparently, it's NOT considered good "weddiquette" to ask for a new Blu-ray DVD player as your "something blue." Wow, I gotta side with Ty on this one ... that's a total ripoff!
"Ellen": It's the Final Countdown (doo de doo doo ...) to Ellen's big day. Tomorrow, she gets to unveil her upcoming O Magazine cover photo, which will make her the first non-Obama to gloss it up with her Winfrey-ness. Today, Ellen seemed just a teeny bit jealous of Amy Poehler who showed off HER new Glamour cover, which she gets to grace all by herself! Why do I get the feeling that some Ellen underlings will be spending next week folding O Magazine covers in half?
"Alexa Chung": It was Alexa Chung's birthday today! 50 Cent sang a little "diddy," which is so weird because Diddy wasn't even there! People in the audience wore party hats with Alexa's face on them, which was kinda cool but totally creepy! "It's On" is well on it's way to becoming the new hot spot for stars to drop by when in the Big Apple. Jim Carrey even managed not to be a "Scrooge" during his interview promoting "A Christmas Carol." Can't wait to see who's forced to do her show next week!
"Rachael Ray": The Thigh Master, also known as Suzanne Somers, who's not related to The Beast Master, who lives next to Grandmaster Flash, who eats at Maestro's Steakhouse and watches "Masterpiece Theatre" on PBS ... you know, Suzanne Somers! The lady who a lot of people think was on the "Fall Guy" and acted with Jonathan Winters? Yes, the one who loves Springsteen! Well, she was on the show today. Happy autumn!
"The Price Is Right": 7,000 episodes! 37 years of "comin' on down" brought us to today, where a 1972 Mazda turned into a brand-spankin' new Miata! Three decades of wide-eyed tourists walking away with prizes they have no use for, and they've never let me into the studio audience! All I wanna do is bid ONE DOLLAR!
