when i first saw this show title and the description i was like 'wait a sec, i know this' and when i looked i couldn't believe it. a tv adaption of jeff lindsay's book Darkly Dreaming Dexter. i live in australia so it isn't over here, but from the looks of the reviews it seems like its doing the book justice, i just hope that it does show over here because i would love to see how they convey the characters and bring them to life.....i can't wait to see how they do dearly devoted dexter. can't wait.

I watched the first episode of Dexter this last Tuesday. I was off sick from work for a couple of days. After I watched Episode I, I immediately watched #2, then 3, then 4. The next day I watched Episodes 5 through 9. I loved it! Rarely does a program grab my attention like Dexter did. Michael C. Hall is perfect in the role. Loved him on SFU. Once you've seen one episode of this show, you're hooked, and can't wait to see the next.

Hall definitely is why this show works. Without him, it would just be ok.

I hope enough people watch Dexter, so Showtime keeps it on for a while. I'd hate to see it fall victim to low viewership.

I absolutely love this show. Dexter is one of the best characters on t.v. in the past few years. It's smart, dark and even funny at times. I must admit that I think I even have a little crush on Dexter!! Great show, I'm turning all of my friends on to this!

The unique premise of this show is that you are forced to empathize with a serial killer and challenge your value system. Dexter is the good cop/bad cop/judge/jury/executioner all rolled into one character. I find myself saying, "Hey. Wait a minute. I can't feel sorry for a serial killer" or "I never thought a serial killer would have a code of honour".

The "sunny" backdrop of Miami also breaks from the usual dark, gritty crime dramas.

Great plotline. Great characters (except for the sister who isn't entirely believable as a cop).
