Episode Description

Booth's son finds a corpse finger in a bird's nest while playing, so the team launches an investigation in order to find the rest of the body, which eventually turns up in Jefferson Memorial Park. It becomes clear that the death was not due to an accident, and with the help of a new grad student in the lab, the team identifies the victim. Turns out this local veterinarian had a thing for gambling. This new information brings a number of suspects into the picture. The victim's injuries turn out to be from a dog, leading the investigation to an illegal dog fighting ring. With the help of Cesar Millan, the team is able to connect the forensic canine evidence with the killer dog and its owner. Later, Booth asks Sweets to treat his son because he thinks finding the finger may have traumatized him.
