This show is Ricky's best so far... yes it even beats The Office!! I love the fact that they got so many famous hollywood actors to come on and be silly! I wish they had made more only 2 series/seasons were made!! great shame.

the way he just rips the p right out of himself with this pathetic ( in the true sense) charachter so richly drawn from all the saddo's out there in Tinselville... is pure magic.... richly deserved winner....

This show rocks my bloddy socks!! The best episode was when daniel Radcliffe was there!!! it's super funny, it has an excellent cast, The writers are just totally brilliant, I just LOVE it!!!!

I adore Ricky Gervais and his genius in his acting and writing. I saw this show on HBO reruns and I laughed until I cried tears of joy. I hope he wins his Emmy! You feel so badly for his character when all seems to be going wrong. This show is 1000 times better than any American show. It is now out on DVD and there is talk of a final episode.

On March 19, 2007 the BBC reported that Gervais and Merchant would be writing a one-off finale episode (similar to how they finished The Office). A spokeswoman for Gervais said that the idea was in its "very, very early stages". This final part, like The Office, will allow the series to be sold into syndication worldwide.
