Haven't felt so uncomfortable about laughing since Fawlty Towers. Ricky Gervais' character is a wickedly funny mix of introversion, arrogance, self-loathing and paranoia. Stephen Merchant's cheap and cheeky delivery is genius, and Ashley Jensen's out-of-step portrayal of Maggie guarantees many Lucy moments for Ricky---Gervais that is.Was this review helpful to you? Not only is this show hillarious, it has heart, and an artist delicate touch. Astounding! I wish they could have more episodes per season for sure! I hope this show is not too smart for the masses and never gets full on star status. Hey Boobs are a key comedy word, tell your low IQ pals to check it out! If you enjpy the original The Office (or even the U.S. version which is great too) then you will like this. Gervais is hysterical and has his timing and wit down to perfection.
