Decisions, decisions: The downside to all the great TV coming our way this fall is when two or more of our favorite shows pile up in the same time slot. (Even if you’re blessed with a DVR, you still have to decide which one to watch first, right?) That’s where we come in: Here, we give you the scoop on the fall’s most hotly contested time-slot battles, size up the contenders, and let you know which one we’ll be watching. Then it’s your turn: Take the poll at the end of each entry and tell us which shows will earn your very valuable couch time.

'Dancing With the Stars' vs. 'The Voice'

Mondays & Tuesdays, 8 PM ET

Two reality juggernauts will go head-to-head this fall: Season 15 of ABC’s venerable dance competition (its first with all-stars) versus Season 3 of NBC’s red-hot singing competition. A huge hit with younger demographics, "The Voice“ is already inching past “American Idol” in terms of buzz, and it could very well do the same to the aging “DWTS” with its first fall installment. But the all-star twist might bring some fresh eyeballs to ABC — which could use them after ratings dropped sharply last season.

Our verdict: We’ll stick with “The Voice” for the blind auditions, at least, and keep an eye on “DWTS” in case Kirstie and Maks do something crazy.

'Revenge' vs. 'The Good Wife'

Sundays, 9 PM ET

Emily Thorne or Alicia Florrick ... don’t make us choose! Sadly, we must, since ABC is moving its highly addictive primetime soap to Sundays at 9 PM (the old “Desperate Housewives” timeslot) for its sophomore season. There, it’ll go up against Season 4 of CBS’s acclaimed legal drama, which returns this fall with a bumper crop of guest stars, including Nathan Lane, Amanda Peet, and Maura Tierney. Though it slipped a bit last season, “The Good Wife” still has the clear advantage in total viewers (11.8M to “Revenge’s” 8.7), but ABC’s sudser has all the buzz, and it's coming off a killer cliffhanger.

Our verdict: Sorry, Alicia. We might catch up on “The Good Wife” later, but “Revenge” is must-see TV.

'Glee' vs. 'Grey's Anatomy'

Thursdays, 9 PM ET

Out of the way, guys: Female viewers will be the ones wielding the remote when Fox’s teen musical moves to Thursday nights for its fourth season, directly opposite Season 9 of ABC’s soapy medical drama. “Grey’s Anatomy” has ruled this time slot for a half-decade now, but it’s started showing its age lately, with viewership sinking to an all-time low last season. “Glee” is losing steam as well, though, and faces a serious crossroads this season with key characters like Rachel, Kurt, and Finn graduating and moving on, leaving Mr. Schue and the old glee club behind.

Our verdict: “Glee,” just to see how this whole New York thing works out.

'New Girl' vs. 'Happy Endings'

Tuesdays, 9 PM ET

This doesn’t seem like much of a fair fight, does it? Thanks to quirky It girl Zooey Deschanel, Fox’s mismatched-roommates comedy "New Girl" already has a strong foothold on this time slot heading into its second season. Which is a shame, because we actually prefer the antics of the underrated “Happy Endings” gang, which heads into Season 3 this fall and is vying for the same young-comedy audience. And we’re not even mentioning Matthew Perry’s return to TV in NBC’s “Go On” ... because it’s mostly not worth mentioning.

Our verdict: “Happy Endings” all the way; we’re just happy it’s not ending, really.

'Criminal Minds' vs. 'Law & Order: SVU'

Wednesdays, 9 PM ET

A pair of long-running crime procedurals will battle it out on Wednesdays this fall: CBS’s “Criminal Minds” is entering Season 8, with NBC’s "Law & Order: SVU" prepping for its 14th (!) season. And to make this showdown even juicier, former “Minds” star Paget Brewster is defecting to the enemy, guest starring on “SVU’s” season premiere, directly opposite her old BAU buddies. (Jeanne Trippelhorn will take her spot on the “Minds” cast.) With both shows duking it out for virtually the same audience, we have to think only one can survive here ... and we’re betting it’ll be “Minds,” which pulled in nearly double the viewership of the fading “SVU” last season.

Our verdict: As much as we love our Mariska Hargitay, “Minds” seems to have a bit more gas left in the tank.

'The Mindy Project' vs. 'The New Normal' vs. 'Apt. 23'

Tuesdays, 9:30 PM ET

Why, networks, why? Why did you have to schedule our two favorite new fall comedies against each other, and add a promising midseason comedy into the mix as well? “The Office’s” Mindy Kaling is adorable (dare we say “adorkable,” even?) as a fumbling OB/GYN on “The Mindy Project”; “New Normal” delivers laughs and heart with its tale of a gay couple desperate to have a baby; and “Apt. 23” (entering its first full season) boasts a deliciously evil Krysten Ritter and James Van Der Beek. Sigh ... we fully expect to see smoke coming out of our DVRs by Halloween.

Our verdict: Watch “Mindy” live, DVR “The New Normal,” and catch “Apt. 23” here on Yahoo! TV later in the week. And keep your fingers crossed that all three make it through the season.
