Shine Picks: Top 10 TV Relationships

Spring has historically been the season of love, but when it comes to television, fall is the time when things heat up the most. We asked our friends at Shine to share their thoughts on fall TV's hottest romances, couples on the brink of break-up and a few who haven't even gotten together yet. JIM & PAM ON "THE OFFICE": "Even though I was pleased to see Jim propose at the rest stop, of all places," says Shine Work + Money editor Dory Devlin, "I still want to know: Is Pam less certain about her future with Jim? Will she go to New York and start a new chapter in her life and never return to Scranton? It would be understandable. I'm nervous." CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: 70%. DON & BETTY ON "MAD MEN": This TV relationship may be the one that has the Shine staff the most distressed. "We're just so torn," says Shine's editor-in-chief Brandon Holley. "There's the one side of things, where you see that Don is a womanizing lech, that he belittles his wife and doesn't give her the respect she deserves. They're incompatible and should probably break up. Still, the romantic side of us really wants this incredibly gorgeous '60s couple to see beyond their issues to their obvious love for each other and kiss and make up." CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: 80%. It's the best kind of teen drama with tons of back stabbing, cattiness, good-looking boys and really amazing clothes. Blair and Chuck bring so much over-the-top energy to their characters, I don't even want to see them get together, I just want to sit back and enjoy the evil game of cat and mouse." But I have another query: Is it just me or do Jack and Liz Lemon have a kind of sexy, bantering Sam-Diane chemistry?
