We love a good romance, particularly when it's between two people who like to do kung fu and steal state secrets in between make-out sessions. In the spirit of NBC's new series "Undercovers," we've put together a list of our favorite TV spy couples of all time. (Note: We're counting assassins, former spies, and honorary spies as spies here. Sydney and Vaughn, "Alias" — He was her handler, then he was her boyfriend, then he married a terrorist, then he was dead, then he wasn't, then they had a baby who helped ruined the show. Nikita and Michael, "La Femme Nikita" — A love so strong, not even state-of-the-art brainwashing techniques could cure it. Nikita and Michael never really had a chance at working out (she was a reluctant assassin; he was a fake husband to the daughter of a terrorist), but we did enjoy watching them try. Chuck and Sarah, "Chuck" — It's hard trying to have a healthy relationship when one of you essentially has robots in your head and the other is a fine-tuned killing machine for the government. Maxwell Smart and Agent 99, "Get Smart" — The elite spy couple so secret, we didn't even know one of their names. Max and 99 were a satirical look at spy couples, sure, but let no one say they weren't romantic — Cone of Silence snuggling anyone? Adam and Fiona, "Spooks" — Leading causes of marriages ending for regular people: irreconcilable differences, infidelity, other boring things. Leading causes of marriages ending for spies: being shot in the face by a crazed Syrian and driving a car full of exploding bombs, which is what happened to these poor married MI5 operatives. Joan and Arthur, "Covert Affairs" — Is it just us, or are bureaucratic spy couples even sexier than field operative spy couples? John and Jane, "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" — Before the feature film, there was a short-lived (13 whole episodes) TV version starring Scott Bakula and Maria Bello.
