When Gwen Leonard, a female executive, loses her job due to corporate downsizing, she is forced to move in with her secretary, Terry, who was also fired on the same day. The two become partners and launch a promotions company out of the SoHo loft where they live. Terry's other roommate is her brother Danny and they all frequent a neighborhood bar owned by Guy.
